A mod that adds ancient dinosaurs to minecraft!

Raptor

Boss variant:

• Health: 130
• Speed: Fast
• Damage: Medium
• Special ability: When hitting a player who is blocking with a shield, it places a short cooldown on the shield.

Tamed variant:

• Health: 40
• Speed: Really Fast
• Damage: Weak
• Special ability: Can perform a quick dash with a short cooldown.

Triceratops

Boss variant:

• Health: 200
• Speed: Slow
• Damage: High
• Special ability: Performs a powerful ground slam that deals heavy damage and knocks enemies back.

Tamed variant

• Health: 60
• Speed: Medium
• Damage: Medium
• Special ability: Can also perform a ground slam that deals damage and knocks enemies back. Grants the rider a strong damage resistance.

Dinosours can be spawned by discovering their ancient bones throughout the world:

• Raptor - desert
• Triceratops - Jungle

After finding bones, you must cleanse them of corruption by defeating mobs. Once purified, craft a Bone Pedestal and right click it with the bone to summon the corresponding dinosaur.

When defeated, the dinosaur drops a summoning item that allows you to spawn and despawn its tamed variant.

- Ancient Archeolog

The Ancient Archeolog is an NPC that spawns in the savanna biome and can be traded with like a villager. To trade, you will need souls or condensed souls.

How to earn souls:

Purchase an Ancient Sword from him for 50 emeralds. This sword collects souls from defeated mobs, but holding souls applies  debuffs:

• 10 kills - ocaisional nasuea and hunger
• 20 kills - ocaisional slowness
• 30 kills - ocaisional wither effect
• 55 kill - the souls collapse into a condensed soul and reset the counter.

The Ancient Archeolog offers trades for various recources such as iron, gold, and even dinosaur bones, so you don't always find structures to progress.
