Curse Maven Snippet
Welcome to the first release of my new mod! This is rather small, but in the future, I have big plans!
List of Features:
- Leeching Caves: A new cave biome filled with crystals with a hunger for rotting or decayed material. You won't see this in game necessarily, but you will see some new faces and blocks inside.
- Hemorrhite: A new material type made to craft certain items and blocks. The blockset for this rough crystal includes a smooth set of bricks and a rough door. Red in color.
- Azurium: The same as Hemorrhite, but under a different name, also used to make different crafts and items.
- Azurium Skeleton: A new powerful naturally spawning foe that protects these caves. The appearance is of a skeleton with a crystalline growth on it's back. Fast moving, but don't try to outrun it! Face it head on! It has a ranged attack when you're 6 blocks away from it. Inflicts "Azure Affliction" on hit, which amplifies the damage you take while the effect is active. Drops an Azurium Bone, used to brew Azure Affliction Potions.
- Hemorrhite Zombie: Fairly standard mob, but it has more health and does more base damage than the Azurium Skeleton. Rather than having an exclusive drop, it drops various treasures.
- Azurium Shield: A new shield. Crafted with Azurium, no special function. It's just more durable than a regular shield.
- Crystal Saber: Crafted with Azurium and Hemorrhite, used to deal more damage exclusively to the Crystalline mobs.
- Ray Lens: Probably the most useful new item. Crafted with diamonds, copper and the new crystals, you can use this to inflict Azure Affliction to anything you attack!
Non-Leeching Cave Features:
- Dripstone Shield: A new shield you can craft by replacing some wood with dripstone in the crafting table. Knocks back and deals damage to enemies that hit you.
- Twisting Bud: A new pink flower found in the lush caves.
- Smelting Touch: A new enchantment that can go on pickaxes that automatically smelts any block into their smelted form when mined. Example: Deepslate Iron Ore -> Iron Ingot
- Copper Gear Backport: Hopefully the exact same as the vanilla copper gear!
This biome is fairly standard and somewhat ugly to look at. I plan on updating it in the future. The next update will include a brand new Nether biome. Stay tuned!
