Better Tools and Armor v10.3 [The Treehouses and Tweaks Update]
1.20 only:
- CURIOS API NOW REQUIRED FOR 1.20
- Re-added Crystallite Charms’ functionality
- Re-added Crystallite Charm Base to dungeon loot chests
- Sonic booms from Sculk Crystallite items no longer deal knockback or give XP drops
- Certain weapons no longer drop XP when you kill a mob with them
- When a mob is killed by a player with a modifier to their Critical Hit Multiplier, it will no longer drop XP
- Added Cherry Treehouse
Treehouse changes:
- Nether treehouses now actually spawn, rarely, in Crimson and Warped forests.
- Updated all treehouse loot tables to include more early-game loot
- Tools and armor in treehouse loot are now damaged
- Spruce Treehouses can now spawn in Grove biomes
- Added Mangrove Treehouse
- Made treehouse generation slightly less glitchy
- A maximum of 1 rick-roll disc can now spawn in 1/60 Overworld treehouse chests.
- The chance for a rick-roll disc is 1/32 in Nether treehouses.
New full-set bonuses for armor:
- Wearing a full set of Ender Titanium Armor and falling into the void now teleports you back to the last solid ground you were standing on, with a durability cost and cooldown.
- Nether Diamond, Sapphire and Topaz armor sets now give 25% chance for their special effect, when a full set is worn. Crystallite upgrades for these materials now give a 50% chance.
- Crystallite armor with gold, redstone, ruby and sculk upgrades now have full-set bonuses which act like a 5th piece is being worn.
- Sculk-upgraded Crystallite armor now reduces detection range of nearby mobs by 10% per piece, instead of 15%. This means the full-set bonus is -50%.
- Crystallite armor with Iron upgrade now gives attackers Slowness II for 3s, when a full set is worn.
Crystallite changes:
- Added Charms and Item Tooltips back to the 1.20 version.
- Guardian Necklace now deals 3 damage, through armor, to any attackers when the wearer is in water, the damage still doubles when the attacker is a water mob.
- Icy Bracelet now increases the chances of freezing mobs by 5% when using Sapphire tools & armor. It still works when not using these tools & armor however.
- Removed the +1 Attack Damage buff given by the Withered Gauntlet
- Added a duplication recipe for the Crystallite Charm Base
- Nerfed thorns damage of Netherite-upgraded Crystallite Armor to 2, 3, 4 and 6 when 1, 2, 3 and 4 armor pieces are worn respectively.
- Thorns damage from Netherite-upgraded Crystallite armor now drops XP when it kills mobs and it only affects melee attackers.
- Thorns damage from Cactus Shirt and Netherite-upgraded Crystallite Armor now stacks when both are worn.
- Netherite-upgraded Crystallite Armor now caps its damage boost at 2-3 when a Cactus Shirt is worn as well.
- Elemental armor effects now mix and match properly between Crystallite armor and normal armor - for example, wearing 3 Nether Diamond pieces and one Crystallite (Nether Diamond upgrade) piece means the fire effect always lasts 10s, not sometimes 5 or 10. This slightly changes how the effect chance is calculated.
- Extinguishing yourself using a Nether Diamond upgraded Crystallite Shovel/Hoe now deals 5 damage to the tool and has a 5s cooldown.
- Lapis-upgraded Crystallite weapons no longer drop double XP when killing mobs.
- Redstone-upgraded Crystallite weapons now heal 2HP when you are below 25% HP upon killing a mob.
- Lowered the delay of the Flaming Circlet’s effect from 3.25s to 2.5s
Knockback resistance changes:
- Tough Necklace nerfed from 20% to 15%
- All Crystallite Armor nerfed from 15% to 12.5%
- Ender Titanium Armor nerfed from 20% to 15%
- Crying Obsidian Helmet buffed from 2% to 10%
Attack speed changes:
- Ruby Axe nerfed from 1.4 to 1.2
- Nether Diamond Axe nerfed from 1.2 to 1
- Ruby-upgraded Crystallite Axe nerfed from 1.5 to 1.4
- Nether Diamond Tools now have the same attack speed as Diamond tools
- Topaz Sword, Pickaxe, Shovel buffed by 0.1
- Topaz Hoe buffed from 3.2 to 3.5
- Sapphire Sword, Pickaxe, Shovel nerfed by 0.1
- Sapphire Axe nerfed from 0.8 to 0.75
- Sapphire Hoe nerfed to 2.5
Enchantability changes:
- Made enchantability of effect armor consistent (4 for base, 8 for iron, 10 for diamond)
- Iron Dagger – now 14, to match all Iron tools
- Flint Dagger – now 8
- Ruby tools – now 12
- Ender Titanium tools and armor – now 18
- Sapphire tools and armor – now 10
- Lapis-upgraded Crystallite tools – now 30
Other changes:
- Nerfed thorns damage of Cactus Shirt to 2, 3 and 5 for each variant
- Added new BT+A Building Blocks creative tab for all metallic blocks, and Red Ice.
- Added the Attribute Viewer GUI, accessed using the . (period/full stop) key. This is mainly used for debugging, but can be useful to see boosts from different tools, armor and charms.
- Added Potion of Decay, from Bedrock edition, brewed using a Wither Rose on an Awkward Potion.
- Wearing Glass Armor now hides your name tag from other players, even when not crouching.
- Added Mangrove Planks (and Cherry Planks in 1.20) to repair materials for Wooden Dagger
- Added Copper Ingot and Redstone Dust to beacon payment items
- Renamed ‘Electro’ items to ‘Lightning’
- Added colours to the names of Ender Goggles, Bouncy Bracelet, Lucky Charm and Poison Charm.
- Added new tooltips for Metallic Building Blocks, to make them easier to search for by colour.
- Removed debug text from Flaming Circlet
- Various code improvements
- Minor text changes
