Advanced Filtering System: Take Control of Your Automation

The headline feature of v1.3.0 is the Advanced Filtering System. This turns your tiered chests into powerful automation hubs, allowing you to define exactly what goes in and what comes out.

Input vs. Output Modes

Chests (Gold tier and above) now feature a toggleable filtering panel.

• Input Mode: Restricts what Hoppers and machines can insert into the chest.
• Output Mode: Restricts what Hoppers and machines can extract from the chest.

3x3 Ghost Slot Grids

We've implemented a sleek 3x3 grid for each mode. These use Ghost Slots, meaning you can click with an item to set a filter without actually losing the item from your inventory.

• Smart Uniqueness: The grid automatically ensures that each item type is only listed once, keeping your filters clean and organized.

Global Localization: 20 Languages!

We believe everyone should be able to enjoy Better Furnaces & Chests in their own language. Version 1.3.0 introduces full localization support for 20 languages, including:

• Major Regions: English (US/UK), Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and more.
• Dynamic Tooltips: Our Upgrade Kits now have tier-specific localized descriptions that update based on the kit you're holding.

Technical Polish & Bug Fixes

• Double Chest Sync: Fixed a persistent issue where item filters only applied to the primary half of a double chest.
• Packet-Based Ghost Slots: Implemented a new network payload (FilterSlotActionPayload) to ensure zero-latency filter updates between client and server.
• Registry-Based Descriptions: Tooltips are now generated dynamically from registry paths, reducing hardcoded strings and improving mod compatibility.
