Bee Workforce 0.2.0 Release Notes
Bee Workforce 0.2.0 significantly improves the stability, safety, and usability of Blueprint-based construction with Construction Bees.
This release focuses on making the core building flow safer for real worlds by improving Blueprint validation, construction reservations, material handling, recovery behavior, and GUI feedback.
Highlights
Safer Blueprints
- Added a serialized size limit for Blueprint item data.
- Blueprint creation and Bee Construction Block assignment now use the same size validation rule.
- Waterlogged solid blocks are normalized into a construction-friendly state.
- Liquids, BlockEntity-backed blocks, non-item blocks, and other unsupported blocks are excluded from Blueprints.
- Blueprints with invalid external rows can still be used when valid rows remain.
Improved Construction Plans and Reservations
- Added a saved construction reservation ledger to detect overlapping construction areas more reliably.
- Construction plans outside the buildable world height are now rejected.
- Home-specific reachability is separated from the overall construction plan state, so one unreachable hive no longer blocks the whole plan.
- Temporary chunk loading for work is now limited to concrete reserved work units.
Better Construction Bee Work Behavior
- Placement work no longer starts while removable conflicting blocks remain.
- Bee Builder Chest is now required for removal work.
- ItemStacks with extra data, such as BlockEntityTag, custom names, or stored contents, are no longer consumed as building materials.
- Doors and beds are handled as single logical work units made from multiple blocks.
Recovery and Return Improvements
- After world reload, Construction Bees return home before resuming work.
- Active construction plans can be rediscovered without requiring the player to visit the site first.
- A Construction Bee that lost its home can survive at the last moment if a nearby empty hive with the same owner is available.
- The home-loss death deadline is saved using world game time, so remaining time is preserved after reload.
UI and Usability
- Bee Construction Block GUI information was reorganized for clearer progress, unresolved counts, reservations, and remaining material requirements.
- Blueprint Creator Block and Bee Construction Block now open their menus on right click regardless of the held item.
- Terminology and Creative Tab entries were cleaned up.
- Bee Workforce blocks are now tagged as axe-mineable blocks.
Entity Behavior Stabilization
- Construction Bees now explicitly disable vanilla bee behaviors such as entering Bee Nests or Beehives, pollinating, breeding, healing or entering love mode from flowers, attacking, and using stingers.
Config
Added a serialized size limit for Blueprint data.
- Default:
262,144 bytes - Absolute configurable maximum:
1,048,576 bytes
Large Blueprints can increase save data size and network load. For multiplayer worlds, increase this limit gradually.
Note
Bee Workforce removes and places real blocks in your world. Please make a backup before using it in an important world.
