Beans' Arcade v1.5.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Beans' Arcade v1.5.0 - Change log:
New machine: Coin Pusher 🪙
- A two-block coin pusher with a glass case over a live, moving table. Craft it from glass, a gold ingot, a piston, iron ingots and redstone.
- A chute sweeps across the top. Right-click with a token to drop a coin from wherever the chute is, so timing your drop is the skill.
- Coins land on the sliding shelf or the table. The shelf shoves the pile forward, and coins pushed over the front edge pay tickets. The side gutters are the house's.
- Gold coins pay extra, and you can see one waiting in the chute before you drop it.
- Gift boxes: every so often the chute loads a little wrapped present. Push it off the edge for a Mystery Box.
- Coin Shower: coins lost to the gutters fill a 15-lamp meter. A full meter rains free coins onto the table.
- Avalanche: push 8 coins in quick succession for a fanfare.
- The table is shared and remembers its coins. New machines come pre-loaded right up to the edge.
- Nice touches:
- an aim dot shows where your coin will land;
- coins flip as they fall, bounce, and wobble flat like a spinning coin;
- edge coins teeter, then tip over into the slot;
- wins climb a musical scale, so streaks sound great;
- a ticket strip feeds out of the tray and tears off as you're paid;
- the header display flashes on big wins.
- New advancements: Push Your Luck, Avalanche!, Special Delivery and Make It Rain.
Spectating 📺
- Watch other players' arcade games live. Right-click a machine someone is using (sneak + right-click to play it yourself), or use
/arcade watch <player>. - Works with every cabinet game, Snake, Plinko, Pinball and Garden Defense, plus Stacker via the command.
- The spectator screen shows a sharp, smooth live picture with who's playing, the game, a LIVE light and the viewer count. Watching carries on from one game into the next.
- Over the shoulder: a cabinet's in-world screen shows the actual game being played, in low quality, to anyone standing nearby.
- The player being watched sees a "N WATCHING" badge, and gets a chat note when someone starts watching.
- Nothing is streamed when no one is watching or nearby.
Bear Snip: the Giant Panda arrives 🐼
- New prize: the Giant Panda Plush. One in four Bear Snip machines hang the rare panda instead of the bear, and the prize is re-rolled after every win. Cut the wire to take home whichever is hanging.
- New challenge advancement: Pandamonium, for winning the rare panda.
- The Giant Bear Plush has been remodelled:
- a rounder body and head;
- a heart pillow in its arms;
- glossy eyes, soft brows and rosy cheeks;
- toe beans, a tail, and new soft plush fur.
- The plushie hanging in the machine is now a mini version of the exact plush you win.
- New Bear Snip machine model:
- chrome pillars and a neon trim;
- a control console with a big red SNIP button;
- a light-up marquee with chase bulbs;
- mini plushies in the corners and a neon heart inside.
- Smoother, better-looking game screen:
- everything glides instead of stepping;
- the cutter eases to a stop and the scissor blades snap shut;
- a proper machine interior with chase lights and glass glare;
- the plush drops, bounces and puffs dust when you win;
- the wire twangs when you miss.
Coin & prize tweaks
- Coin Pusher payouts are balanced to about 1 ticket per token, with gold coins and gift boxes as the big moments.
Fixes
- BLOCK SLAYER:
- the screen text is no longer hidden by the bezel's fangs or the top jaw;
- the "BLOCK SLAYER" sign is no longer covered by the side panels;
- a few flickering surfaces fixed.
- Bamboo in the Bear Snip machine's panda display now shows its texture.
- Fixed a few flickering surfaces on the new machines
