Remastered Mod Suite — Changelog 30.5.0

Minecraft: 1.21.1 (Fabric)

Mods in This Release

  • BCLibRemastered 30.5.0
  • BetterEndRemastered 30.5.0
  • BetterNetherRemastered 30.5.0
  • WorldWeaverRemastered 30.5.0

Update all four together — they're built and tested as one suite.

Highlights

New Worldgen Rate Controls (BetterEnd & BetterNether)

You can now tune how often BetterEnd and BetterNether biomes, structures, plants/features, and mob spawns generate, right from the ModMenu config screen (or by editing config/betterend/worldgen_rates.json / config/betternether/worldgen_rates.json).

  • 1.0 = default/unchanged, 0.0 = disabled, 0.5 = roughly half as common, 2.0 = roughly twice as common (in-game sliders go from 0.0 to 10.0).
  • The file is created automatically the first time you load the game, with an entry for every biome, structure, feature, and spawner the mods (and compatible add-ons) provide — including modded/datapack additions.
  • Any custom entries you add yourself are kept when the file is re-saved.
  • Delete the file at any time to reset everything back to defaults.
  • Only affects newly generated chunks/areas — existing terrain won't change retroactively.

End Terrain Generator On by Default (WorldWeaver)

New worlds now default the End biome-source generator to BetterEnd's own terrain generator (when Nullscape is not installed), giving a richer, more intentional End landscape out of the box for the bundled normal, large, and amplified world presets.

Fixes by Mod

BCLibRemastered

  • Vanilla shears are usable again. Shears no longer fail to drop leaves, grass, tall grass, vines, and similar plants.
  • Iron-bars-style block rendering fixed. Custom bar-type blocks (used by BetterEnd and other add-ons) no longer look "stuck" when a neighboring bar connection updates — the center post displays consistently, and side pieces connect with the correct orientation, matching vanilla iron bars.

BetterEndRemastered

  • Pickaxes drop cobblestone again. A bug (introduced by certain dye/color add-ons) could silently break BetterEnd's pickaxe/axe/hammer mining tags, making blocks drop nothing when mined with the correct tool. Fixed for good.
  • Terminite and Thallasium bars render correctly. No longer appear stuck facing east-west — they now use proper connecting bar models, matching vanilla iron bars behavior.
  • Elytra no longer render twice. Custom BetterEnd elytra (and Trinkets-slot elytra) were sometimes drawn twice on a player's back; now render exactly once.
  • Elytra chest-slot enchantments work properly again, including some modded enchantments that check for chest armor.
  • End terrain generation is stable across restarts. Biome layout no longer randomly shuffles every time you restart your world/server — the same seed reliably generates the same End biome layout.
  • Fixed missing/empty End areas. Small End islands and the Ice Starfield could fail to generate, leaving unlabeled empty "void" patches; these now generate as intended.
  • Fixed a critical lockup when using /locate structure betterend:giant_ice_star. Ice star structures now generate safely when located.
  • Improved Ice Starfield placement. Ice star structures now sit closer to the local terrain surface instead of floating too high or clipping underground.
  • Crashed End Ship loot is no longer lost when nearby blocks erode/break, including with loot-management mods.
  • Fixed the custom End sky sometimes disappearing when certain fog settings are toggled off.
  • Fixed music disc tooltips so descriptions always show correctly.
  • Fixed several rare crash risks around respawn obelisks, ritual updates, water color rendering (Sodium compatibility), armor rendering, and structure data loading.
  • Fixed /be tpnext and the /be locate_portal* commands to behave more reliably.
  • Debug/dev-only items no longer appear automatically outside of development environments.
  • The BetterEnd Items creative tab icon is now the Thallasium Sword; "BetterEnd: Plants" was renamed to "BetterEnd: Nature".
  • Creative inventory / EMI / REI item ordering is now consistent between sessions instead of random.

BetterNetherRemastered

  • Fixed a world-load crash on some setups (notably alongside Charms) caused by entity/attribute setup running too early during startup.
  • /bn place structure actually places the structure now instead of just reporting success.
  • Naga entities now correctly count as Nether mobs, with more reliable combat attribute registration.
  • Fixed a statue respawner hitbox glitch caused by an out-of-range collision coordinate.
  • Legacy terrain touches (caves, paths, terrain smoothing) generate properly again, without affecting Upside Down Forest (which intentionally skips them).
  • Fixed the Nether "destruction" structure piece not modifying any blocks due to a logic error.
  • Removed noisy debug logging during Nether City structure generation.
  • Debug/dev-only items no longer appear automatically outside of development environments.

WorldWeaverRemastered

  • Fixed a startup crash on some mod combinations (notably alongside Charms) by moving worldgen tag initialization to a safe point in startup.
  • End biome layout is now stable across restarts — small End islands and the Ice Starfield no longer randomly fail to appear, and the same seed reliably produces the same layout every time.
  • Fixed several worldgen edge cases affecting the shared biome/structure/feature rate-override system used by BetterEnd and BetterNether, including more reliable behavior with custom or datapack-added content.
  • Creative inventory / EMI / REI item ordering is now consistent between sessions instead of random.

Update Recommendation

  • Keep all four Remastered mods on 30.5.0 together.
  • Delete the worldgen_rates.json files at any time to regenerate default 1.0 entries.
  • Worldgen changes affect newly generated chunks and newly loaded worldgen state only, not chunks that already exist.
