This is a simple mod that allows you to craft leather and paper from bamboo.
There are a lot of things in minecraft that require leather or paper to craft. But hunting for cows is time-consuming, and they don't always drop leather, and sacrificing your sugar cane crop for paper instead of sugar can be inconvenient.
With this mod, you can now use the bamboo you grow to craft leather and paper, so you don't have to chase cows or allocate sugar cane anymore.
It's very quick and simple. You can place three sticks of bamboo in a row to make paper, and four sticks of bamboo in a square to make leather.
