v1.2.5-beta-b Update

This update focuses on multiplayer stability, crafting behavior, and an improved anvil system.

Multiplayer Stability Improvements

  • Fixed a potential issue where quick transfer could bypass special container slot logic
  • Quick transfer is now limited to moving items from the player inventory or hotbar into the backpack
  • It no longer forcibly takes items from machine output slots, crafting result slots, reward slots, or special modded slots
  • This reduces the risk of item duplication, item loss, or bypassing other mods’ container logic on multiplayer servers

Crafting Table Improvements

  • Fixed drag-splitting inside the crafting utility panel
  • Left-click dragging now evenly distributes items across crafting input slots
  • Right-click dragging now places one item into each slot
  • Double-click collecting now works inside the crafting utility panel
  • Crafting remainder handling has been improved
  • Recipes such as cake crafting now correctly return empty buckets
  • Container-return behavior for vanilla and some modded recipes is now supported

Anvil Improvements

The side GUI anvil utility now supports more vanilla-like behavior:

  • Experience level cost
  • Item renaming
  • Enchanted book merging
  • Enchantment conflict checks
  • Too Expensive limit handling
  • Item repairing
  • Combining similar equipment for repairs

Hidden Utility Data Improvements

  • Crafting, furnace, anvil, and smithing utility data is stored with the backpack
  • If the corresponding upgrade is removed, remaining items are returned to the player
  • If the player inventory is full, remaining items are dropped near the player
  • Server-side cache cleanup has been improved to reduce long-term memory growth on multiplayer servers

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Forge 47.x
  • Sophisticated Backpacks
  • Sophisticated Core
  • Curios API, optional
  • JEI, optional

Notes

This mod is still in beta. Most item interactions are handled server-side, but some special machines, heavily customized containers, or modded recipe systems may still require additional compatibility work.
