• Item Duct — items in all six directions, including straight UP, the thing hoppers never learned. Ducts remember which way items came in and never send them back; real inventories get delivery priority over onward ducts; 4 items per transfer at hopper cadence. Hoppers extract, ducts transport. Cheap: 6 smooth stone + 2 iron makes six.
• Engineer's Wrench — a fully 3D-modeled tool (copper jaw, iron stick handle) that toggles conduit connections: sever unwanted cable or duct links, or splice connections the auto-rules declined. Click an arm to target it, the core for the face you're looking at, or the machine side of a joint — all three work, even at awkward angles.
• Item Ducts only auto-connect to a hopper where the hopper actually outputs (its nozzle face) — no more accidental duct-hopper tangles. Want a duct feeding a hopper's top anyway? Wrench it on.
