What's new

v0.0.0-beta.11 - Comprehensive Item Texture Restoration

Fix

  • All Items Missing Textures: Fixed 32 block-based items (enchanting tables, shelves, libraries) and 12 tome items displaying missing texture pattern (magenta/black) in inventory and world. Root cause: item JSON files incorrectly referenced ascendant_enchanting:item/XXX models that did not exist; they should reference the corresponding ascendant_enchanting:block/XXX block models.

Technical Changes

  • Corrected 32 item JSON model references: ascendant_enchanting:item/*ascendant_enchanting:block/*
    • Both enchanting tables (Ascendant, Raven)
    • All 24 shelf variants (wood, hell, sea, deep, end, sculk, specialty)
    • Both libraries (standard, Ender)
    • Filtering shelf and Geode shelf
  • Added 27 missing item textures for tomes and special items:
    • 12 tome variants (armor types, tools, consumables)
    • 3 jukebox discs (Arcana, Eterna, Quanta)
    • Specialized items (Ender Lead tier, Warden Tendril, Prismatic Web)
  • All 228+ textures from Apothic Enchanting source properly integrated with ascendant_enchanting: namespace.

Impact

  • ✓ All 56 registered items now display textures in creative tab
  • ✓ No more missing-texture (magenta) icons
  • ✓ Block-item hybrid rendering working correctly per NeoForge 26.2 item components model
Note: This release restores the complete visual identity of the mod. All textures are sourced from Apothic Enchanting (MIT licensed, with attribution maintained). The issue was a mismatch between NeoForge's item component system and the ported item JSON structure.
