Arsenal of Weaponry - Guns and More

27 guns you aim, fire and reload by hand, built at a gunsmith's bench, and a remake of the old ICBM missiles: launchers, twenty-one warheads from shrapnel to a nuke and red matter, and radiation.

What's new

0.1.2

 The orbital strike

- Added the Orbital Strike Uplink: a satellite's railgun, called down once. Hold it to paint a target up to 512 blocks off; use it to fire. It takes everything within 140 blocks of where it lands, from the top of the world down to bedrock (never the void), and throws and hurts what is near it.
- It warns first: a red line from the sky and a ring on the ground at once, a warning to everyone near, the shot five seconds later.
- Whoever calls it watches from the satellite: up into space, round the satellite as it charges, down with the shot. The jump key skips it.
- Built at the Gunsmith's Bench, tier V, from four parts of its own, and meant to take a very long time: netherite, nether stars, echo shards and eleven of the parts that are only ever found.
- The ground is taken a chunk at a time, so a whole strike takes about a second of the server's time without stalling it.
- MFFS and RFTools Builder force fields stop it over what they cover, but the beam drains their generators fast: a field lasts two seconds on its own store, longer if it is fed. A field that gives way lets through only the part of the strike still to come, which eats that share of the way down to bedrock.

 Missiles made from parts

- Missiles are assembled from parts now, as guns are: a warhead casing, a rocket motor and a guidance unit (in the bench's Parts tab, or on a crafting table), what goes into the warhead, and the material of the missile's tier on the last line.
- The three missile bodies are gone, and any in a world disappear with them.

 With shader packs

- Tried with Iris and Complementary Reimagined. Smoke, dust and gas from the big warheads came out white, the antimatter sphere pale and red matter's black centre not at all: they were drawn as light, which a shader pack adds to the sky. They are drawn as ordinary lit smoke now, and only fire and light glow.
- With a shader pack the orbital strike's flight keeps the pack's own sky instead of going black, which hid the satellite's charge and the shot.

 Settings

- Added a settings file, `config/arsenal_of_weapons-server.toml`, for the whole server or game; a copy in a world's `serverconfig` folder gives that world its own. Changes take effect without a restart. Turn orbital strikes on or off, turn off missiles breaking blocks, turn off radiation, turn off any warhead by name, scale gun damage, and set the orbital strike's size, whether it takes the ground, how fast it drains a force field, or turn it off.
