Arcanum Unbound is a dark-fantasy magic mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge) built around personal power, dangerous knowledge, and unstable progression.

Every player develops a personal mana profile. Powerful magic is never free: high-output casting builds instability, and Abyss corruption becomes a central part of the risk-reward loop.

Modular Sigil Magic

Spells are assembled from sigils in a dedicated interface. Cores, forms, and modifiers combine into different costs, behaviors, combat roles, and late-game setups.

Progression Through Knowledge

Deeper magic is unlocked through key items, milestones, and survival decisions. You do not begin with full control over the system — power has to be discovered, learned, and earned.

Artifacts and Relics With Tradeoffs

Artifacts carry unique identities, offering powerful strengths paired with dangerous flaws. Weapons, relics, rings, and other wearable pieces create real build variety instead of simple stat stacking.

Soul Mechanics and Death Manipulation

Forbidden rituals can store power in soul-bound objects and alter how death works. In multiplayer, this opens the door to high-stakes interactions and dangerous long-term consequences.

Weapon Imprinting

Rare imprinting allows existing weapons to be branded with special materials through a smithing process. Different materials create distinct combat identities instead of acting as simple upgrades.

Rare World Discoveries

The world hides deeper magical finds, including warped geode materials, structure relics, and the ultra-rare Deepwater Abyss biome with its own hostile life.

Arcanum Unbound includes a full in-game guidebook with progression help, crafting references, boss guidance, and system explanations, so the mod can be learned naturally in survival without relying on external wikis.
