Alakazam – PvP Enchantment Overhaul (Forge 1.20.1)
Alakazam shakes up the Minecraft combat meta by introducing a wide variety of new enchantments and curses that make every fight more strategic. Movement, damage, utility, and risk-based power all collide to create a fresh PvP experience.
Tools (Axes, Pickaxes, Shovels)
Smolder – Auto-smelts blocks when not sneaking.
Bows
Burst – Arrows may deal AOE damage on impact, damaging nearby mobs.
Crossbows
Petrify – Freezes enemies in place.
Combustion – Fireworks launch mobs on explosion.
Siphon (Curse) – Crossbow shots deal massive damage, but cost some of your health.
Axes
Cleaving – Critical hits may inflict Darkness.
Glacial – Freeze mobs on hit.
Parasite (Curse) – Rare armor-piercing strikes that drain hunger.
Swords
Brutality – While at low health, gain Strength I.
Echo – Chance to deal a second hit instantly.
Soulbound – Pull in nearby XP and gain more of it.
Tridents
Vaulting – Launch yourself when throwing the trident.
Drain – Melee trident hits heal you.
Armor
Helmet:
Focus – Thrown tridents drag mobs toward you.
Chestplate:
Liquidation – When hit in water, gain a swimming boost.
Heliotrope – Under the open sky, gain Speed when low on health.
Leggings:
Gust – Perform up to 4 mid-air jumps.
Propel – Dash forward with a burst of speed.
Boots:
Rebound – Bounce on fall damage (sneak to cancel).
Buoyancy – Launch out of water when touching it (sneak to cancel).
Curses
Curses in Alakazam are powerful but come with a cost, designed to create high-risk, high-reward gameplay. Using them wisely can turn the tide of combat, making you far stronger than normal enchantments—if you can manage the drawbacks:
Parasite (Axe) – Armor-piercing strikes, but drains hunger. Great for breaking through heavily armored enemies.
Siphon (Crossbow) – Devastating ranged damage at the cost of some of your own health. Perfect for finishing off tough targets quickly.
Gamerules & Config Options
Alakazam is built for server balance and full customization:
Disable Durability – No more item breaking.
For compatibility, all items tagged with alakazam:has_durability are not affected by this rule.
Toggle Specific Enchants – Enable or disable Smolder, Gust, Cleaving, Combustion, Siphon, Protection, Sharpness, Fortune, Infinity, Thorns, Knockback.
