A new plant makes rubber renewable — grow it, dig its root, and let the garden drone keep you in seeds.

• Kok-sagyz, the rubber dandelion: rubber without oil. Found wild on plains and savannas, in new chunks only, and a seed takes any single block of ground — grass, dirt, sand or tilled soil. The harvest is underground: the plant roots two blocks down, and digging out the tip drops the root while the plant lives on and grows a new one, so a patch keeps paying without replanting. Two roots macerate into raw rubber, with inulin on the side.

Improved

• The garden drone farms the new dandelion's seeds. It cannot reach a root two blocks down, so digging roots stays your job — instead it cuts ripe flowers, banks the seeds and replants them. It also sows the dandelion on untilled ground, exactly as you would by hand.
