The cable ladder finally reaches high voltage — and the top rung has no downside except its price.

• Electrum Cable — the first high-voltage wire. Carries 192 EU/tick, four times the gold cable.
• It loses the least, too. Half a percent per block, beating even the tin cable's six tenths. Every other wide wire pays for its width in losses; this one doesn't.
• The price is the craft. 8 electrum ingots + 4 diamond dusts = 3 cables. Electrum ingots finally have a use — the Alloy Smelter could make them, but nothing consumed them.
• Insulated Electrum Cable ships with it: same 192 EU/tick, half the loss, no shock. 6 bare cables + 3 rubber = 6 insulated.
• Bare electrum bites hardest: 10 damage against gold's 6. Wear the rubber version indoors.
• The Teleporter Station feels it most. Its half-million EU buffer now fills in roughly 2 minutes instead of 9 — as long as your generators can actually supply that much.
