Aftonite Additions 1.21.1-1.0.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Changelog
NeoForge Port
- First release of Aftonite Additions for Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge.
- Brings over Nether ores, Aftonite gear, custom brewing recipes, and the End Tower.
- The End Tower is a registered structure that can be found with
/locate structure aftonite_additions:end_tower. All six chests use End City-style loot with a chance to find the Aftonite Upgrade Smithing Template.
Wolf Armor
- Added Netherite Wolf Armor. Upgrade vanilla Wolf Armor at a Smithing Table with a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template and a Netherite Ingot.
- Netherite Wolf Armor has 96 durability, grants Strength II while worn, and can be dyed. Existing dye carries over from vanilla Wolf Armor.
- Added Aftonite Wolf Armor. Upgrade Netherite Wolf Armor at a Smithing Table with an Aftonite Upgrade Smithing Template and an Aftonite Block.
- Aftonite Wolf Armor has 117 durability and grants Strength II and Fire Resistance while worn. The upgrade clears existing dye and gives the armor a fixed purple infusion.
- Both upgrades retain vanilla wolf armor’s damage absorption and appear in the Aftonite Additions creative tab.
Shader Support
- Added shader-readable emission maps for the Aftonite Wolf Armor item icon and worn model. The purple infusion glows at 50% emission strength.
- Carried over the existing emission maps for Aftonite gear and Aftonite Ore. The ore retains its signature emission independently of the shader’s ore-glow toggle.
Fixes & Improvements
- Hid first-person and third-person flames for players with Fire Resistance.
- Aftonite-armored wolves extinguish themselves. Fire no longer causes visible flame flicker or cancels their sit command.
- Updated the Aftonite Upgrade Smithing Template tooltip to list Aftonite Block under Ingredients.
Requirements & Optional Extras
Requires Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge. No additional mods are required.
- JEI — optional: Displays recipes, including custom brewing recipes.
- Shaders — optional: Compatible shader packs can render Aftonite’s glowing details when material emission is enabled.
- Iris + Sodium — optional: Used to run Complementary Unbound in the NeoForge 1.21.1 test setup.
Shader compatibility varies. Some shader packs require additional block mappings for their built-in ore-glow toggles. The local Complementary compatibility mapping used during testing is separate from the Aftonite mod download.
Without shaders, Aftonite uses normal Minecraft lighting.
