Yes Steve Model (YSM) is a premium mod on animation and 3D player models that has been deeply redesigned, optimized and closed from free distribution specifically for the needs of building Shadows of Eternia. It's not just a cosmetic change - it's a complete reimagining of your interactions with a violent world where classic survival becomes a tense struggle against ancient curses and unthinkable monsters.

⚔️ Combat System: Weight and Inertia
In hardcore conditions, every second and every movement decides the outcome of the battle. Animations from the public version of YSM were reconfigured for RPG mechanics and Eternia weapons:
Dynamic punches and combos: Swings with heavy two-handed swords, halberds and daggers now have tangible weight and inertia. You feel the return of every hit on the enemy's armor.
Evasion and parry system: Animations of tactical rifts, sharp steps to the side and hard blocks with a shield. This is critical when facing the deadly Tribal Warriors and Bottomless Creatures (Abyssal).
Dark magic and artifacts: Unique hand gestures and stands for caste curses, use of shadow crystals and rare ore Shadowsteel.

🏃 Realistic Movement and Survival
Assembly blurs the line between hunter and victim, and your body should respond appropriately to danger:
Adaptive Running and Sprinting: New animations of running, landing after jumps and overcoming obstacles highlight a person's vulnerability in the face of giant bosses.
Silent step: An animation of stealth movement, perfectly synchronized with the mechanics of stealth and tracking in dark forests and ruins.
Crawling and climbing: Smooth and naturalistic crossings when exploring narrow crevices, caves and catacombs.

🎨 Exclusive Models (Closed Content)
Since the addon is closed, it integrates assets not available in the standard version of the mod (where basic skins with glowing eyes and custom hairstyles are usually used):
Thematic Basic Models: Unique silhouettes stylized as harsh mercenaries, fallen paladins, inquisitors and dark magicians of the Eternia world.
Advanced Physics (GeckoLib): Using the GeckoLib engine ensures that raincoats, heavy armor elements and hair develop in the wind, get dirty in the blood and react to your every action in real time.
Visual Synchronization: Player animations are stylistically tailored to custom build mobs, creating a single visual style of the level of AAA games.

⚙️ Technical Integration and Optimization
The Shadows of Eternia assembly features a high number of mods and complex mechanics. The closed YSM addon has undergone strict optimization:
