Description
Welcome to a slew of new enemies to fight, expansions to gardening, and new bug powers to unlock!
Aardvark's CritterCraft adds in twenty new monsters for you to fight, and twenty new insects for you to collect! Each monster is a mutant bug in the style of fallout or erebus, and comes with it's respective real bug, which is used to unlock it's powers.
Each monster has a different style of fighting, and is based a different insect. From the leafy stalk, a mutant stick insect that turns invisible when it's not moving, to the sinking feeling, a large gribble-based monster that will pull you down with it, to the crushing frost, a mutant crab that will freeze you and send you soaring!
These ain't your standard "bump into you to deal damage" spiders and silverfish. These are unique mobs with unique abilities and animations.
Here's Some of the bugs!:
Snakeeyes - found in swamps and boreal forests, these guys can hypnotize with their eyes!
Sinking Feeling - living in the ocean, these guys will be sure to drag down if you're on the surface. They drop Grubber, which can be used to make a floating ring!
Lumberrack - found in dark forests, these guys will tear through wood to get to you! They drop a stinger that functions as a great axe in a pinch.
Gooey Slither - These huge swamp monsters terrorize shallow waters. They're slow, but don't let your guard down!
Crushing Frost - These little guys can throw you quite a distance! Their legs are delicious though...
Not only can you battle against mutant insects, but you can also collect regular insects craft new special flowers to attract insects.
You can take these insects and then craft them into gems that grant new abilities.
For instance, the mole cricket can be turned into the Loamy gem, which allows the user to rapidly burrow through gravel.
If you aren’t into that, you can also display taxidermized versions of your collection, or perhaps cultivate new plants that will attract specific kinds of insects to you!
On top of the new mobs, there’s a multitude of new building blocks and tools to help you out. Items like umbrellas to break your fall, and inner tubes to help you float. All organic and constructed from bug parts! Some insects will even drop items like wings that give you a boost through the air, or claws that can dig through the soil.
This mod is perfect for an exploration modpack, or a apocalyptical modpack.
I don't want to spoil too much here, but I'll say that there’s lots to explore, and a ton to do, so get out there and start catching some bugs!
This mod does require GECKOLIB!!!
