Mahou Tsukai Boss Damage Fix (1.21.1)
This datapack fixes an issue where players are unable to properly deal damage to certain bosses when using Mahou Tsukai attacks.
Features
- Allows Mahou Tsukai explosion-based attacks to damage bosses correctly
- Fixes cases where bosses ignore or do not register player damage
- Ensures damage is attributed to the player
- Works with modded bosses (including Tensura bosses)
- Lightweight and does not modify base damage values
What does this change in-game?
In some situations, Mahou Tsukai abilities deal damage through explosions that are not recognized as coming from the player. Because of this:
- Bosses may not take damage correctly
- Damage can be ignored or not counted
- Some boss mechanics or mods prevent progression
With this datapack:
- Your Mahou Tsukai attacks can properly damage bosses
- Boss fights become playable as intended
- Damage is correctly linked to the player
Example
Before:
- You attack a boss using a Mahou Tsukai explosion
- The boss does not take damage or ignores it
After:
- The same attack successfully damages the boss
- The fight works normally
How it works
The datapack applies a very small amount of player-based damage to entities that were recently hit. This ensures the game registers the player as the source of damage, allowing bosses to properly receive and process it.
Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- Mahou Tsukai
- Compatible with most boss mods (including Tensura)
- Multiplayer supported
This datapack is focused on fixing a specific compatibility issue and does not alter game balance or core mechanics.
