This is a data pack and resource pack combo for Minecraft 26.1 that helps players and enforces Nether-only challenge runs and minorly rebalances the game to be better suited for it.

Installation and Usage

During world creation, you can simply drag and drop the data pack file into the data pack screen. If you have an existing Nether-only world, you can simply enable the data pack if you have it installed for the world, and your gameplay should not be negatively impacted.

In order to properly view custom items and texts added by this data pack, you need to download and install the included resource pack, which is as easy as installing any other resource packs. This should not cause conflicts.

Changes and Additions

• Players now spawn in the Nether, and are unable to leave it.
• Increased the durability of gold and iron sets; blackstone and fungal tool sets have ben added with greater durability than normal stone and wood varieties, respectively.
• Added the Golden Trinket, a cheap and effectively invisible wearable that grants protection from piglins but does not protect from damage.
• Added the Nether Salad, a quickly made emergency food source from nylium.
• Respawn Anchors now prevent hostile mobs from spawning in a large radius around them.
• Campfires can now be made with Fire Charges, providing an easier acquisition method.
• Black Dye can now be made with coal, providing an easier acquisition method.
• String can now be crafted with nylium, providing an easier acquisition method.
• Increased the yield of Gold Nuggets from Nether Gold Ore blocks.
• Altered the weights of the rewards of bartering so that essential items drop more frequently than trash ones.
