straightforward datapack that makes craftable Daggers out of one material on top of a stick in a crafting menu (netherite daggers are crafted like normal daggers and cannot be smithed. i do not know a solution to this)
Daggers grant the ability to block like a shield. higher tiers of daggers offer more protection but in a finer arc, and also recover from being disabled by an axe slower. disabled daggers can still attack, but cannot block
winged diamond boots can also be crafted in a smithing table with one amethyst shard, one pair of diamond boots, and one feather. they act as normal diamond boots but grant 50% fall damage resistance
WOODEN & GOLD: 50% protection, 120 degree arc
STONE & COPPER: 66% protection, 100 degree arc
IRON: 75% protection, 90 degree arc
DIAMOND: 83% protection, 70 degree arc
NETHERITE: 90% protection, 60 degree arc
