Want a way to sneak around the Deep Dark without setting off a shrieker every other second, but find the Wooled Boots mod makes the boots too easy to craft? Well, look no further! Harder Wooled Boots is a datapack that overhauls the recipes for wooled boots. Instead of surrounding a pair of boots with 5 wool in a crafting table, now you will have to obtain a Silence Armor Trim in order to make your first pair of boots. Place the boots (all vanilla materials accepted) into a smithing table along with a Silence Trim and a block of white wool in order to make the boots. Look at the spoiler below for image examples of the recipes.
This datapack was inspired by the Wooled Boots mod by Jackbusters. They offer an even harder version of wooled boots called Warden Walkers (doesn't have 1.21+ version unfortunately) that requires killing a Warden before being able to craft the sound dampening boots.
