A simple Minecraft 1.20 and 1.20.1 datapack that welcomes players with an on-screen join title and individual saved settings for each player.

GreetTitle Datapack

GreetTitle is a lightweight datapack for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20 and 1.20.1 that adds a clean title whenever a player joins your world or multiplayer server.

The title appears only for the player who joined, so it does not spam everyone else on the server.

Example:

WELCOME, PlayerName

What It Does

GreetTitle displays a title on the player's screen when they join. It also lets each player choose their own style. The setting is saved per player, meaning everyone can have their own selected title without changing it for others.

Commands

Players can use:

/trigger wm_set set 1
Default title: WELCOME, <USER>

/trigger wm_set set 2
Hello title: HELLO, <USER>

/trigger wm_set set 3
Server title: Welcome to the server, <USER>!

/trigger wm_set set 8
Preview your saved title.

/trigger wm_set set 9
Show help in chat.

How To Install

Download the datapack.
Open your world or server folder.
Place the datapack in the datapacks folder.
Run /reload or restart the world/server.
Join the world/server to see GreetTitle.

Version

Made for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20 and 1.20.1.

Notes

This is a datapack, not a mod. You do not need Forge, Fabric, Quilt, or any other loader.
