Description

Have you ever wanted to set up a server or just a survival world, but you just were to lazy to implement several Datapacks for Shop, Bank or Post Systems. Well you are lucky then because Better Enderchest has all of it and way more. Everything is compact and easy to acces in your Enderchest!

This pack is still under development; although this is the base version, there will be more content released soon. I have plans for different new menus.

Please consider providing feedback and report any bugs in the comments. You can also contact me via Discord (name: sturmbueffel100).

This pack has been properly tested in both singleplayer and multiplayer, but I can't completely guarantee that there are no bugs in the event of a series of unfortunate occurrences. If you have questions regarding bugs or other flaws in the pack, I would love to help you out!

For more GUI-based Data Packs check out RabenMeister's incredible Simple Command GUI Datapack.

Read this!
Better Enderchest is a data pack I started coding on August 10, 2024. After 5.7 days (1.4 days more than v1.0) of playtime in my Better Enderchest Coding World, I am finally able to present to you my best data pack to date!

I started developing v1.1 in February 2025 with the intention to add the market menu, but it became a little more.

The main objective of this pack is the Enderchest, which you can now craft using just a chest and an ender pearl. It can be mined with any tool and provides 19 different menus and tools for both the regular player and the server operator.

Usage
Click the items to navigate through the menus. In some menus, you will need to click the buttons with special or renamed items, or you can increase or decrease certain values. You can change the Interaction Rate by using a renamed item that represents powers of ten (1, 10, 100, ..., 1,000,000,000).

Interesting Stats
Time with World open: 6.33d (5.76d in v1.1)
Enderchest Opened: 8,129 (7,507 in v1.1)
Scoreboards: 162 (156 in v1.1)

Time since first line of code on 9th August 2024: 517d (404d in v1.1)
Number of Files: 849 (818 n v1.1)
Number of Folders: 109 (102 in v1.1)
Lines of Code: 17,253 (16,321 in v1.1)

1 - Credits
Thank You for using the pack! Here you can visit my Planet Minecraft page. Credits aswell to the German YouTuber SparofPhoenix, whose Minecraft projekt Minecraft Elements gave me the insporation for this Datapack.

2 - Shulkerbox Loader

The Shulker Box Loader is usually turned off due to its experimental nature. Unfortunately it destroys some blocks at Y-level 300 above your location.

If you'd like to use it despite these limitations, you can enable it by going to the Layout Tab in the OP Settings.

To use the Shulker Box Loader, simply place a Shulker Box into the designated slot. You'll hear a sound once it's ready. You can then place any item in the box, including other Shulker Boxes.

However, be aware that any items placed in the two slots at the bottom right of the box will drop when you open it in your Ender Chest.

You can also import an Enderchest Page by inserting an empty shulker and then clicking the top right button. The selected Enderchest Page will clear when you take out the shulker.

3 - Enderchest
The Enderchest Menu functions nearly the same as the normal Enderchest, with the exception, that you can have multiple pages here. The storage space is with that nearly endless, but it is limited by the price of these pages, which increases exponentially with every new page.

4 - Post
The pack includes 14 unique mailboxes. Each player can purchase one of these for €1,000.

Send Items

You don't have to own a mailbox in order to send items to another person. Politely ask them if they can provide you with their address. They then need to click the "Write Address Inksac" with a paper and hand you the address. With this address, you click the "Select Consignee Feather." Five slots beside the Feather should open now. If there are still items left in the mailbox, these slots will be blocked. Place your items and click "Send Mail"; this will cost you €10.

Short:
1. Ask for the address.
2. Select Consignee.
3. Place the items.
4. Send the items.

You can also send money; for that, check out the instructions in the Bank tab.

Mailboxes

After you buy a Mailbox, you receive a message whenever someone sends you items. In your Mailbox, you'll see two buttons:

1.
Collect Money: This button allows you to collect any money that has been sent to you.
2. Quit Mailbox: Clicking this button will sell the mailbox again earning you €100.

Important Note: When you leave your Mailbox, all items inside will drop. This means you cannot store items in your Mailbox.

5 - Graveyard
The Graveyard Menu only appears once you die. After that you get the option to recover all the items you lost upon death. In the inventory menu, all items you had in your inventory, except the bottom right slot, are shown. To retrieve item you need to go to the Hotbar & Armor menu; there you see your hotbar, armor slots and the bottom right slot of your inventory. Lastly you have the ability to teleport to your last death position (this option is disabled with the Teleporter Menu). You can leave the menu once to get money, but after the second time it disappears, so be careful what you do.

6 - Group Chest
The Group Chest is an easy way for a team to store items, allowing every player to store and access items. Only one player can open the Group Chest at a time.

7 - Casino

The Casino doesn't use your actual money, so you can't gamble more than you want to risk. First, you need to add money to the Pot. Then you can choose one of three gambling methods:
  1. Double or Nothing: As the name suggests, you can either double your money or lose everything. The odds of doubling are 40%, while the odds of losing everything are 60%.
  2. Random Chest Loot Item: This option gives you a random item. From Dragon Egg to dirt, it can be everything.
  3. Lottery: It's a classic lottery! Each ticket costs €1000 and adds €800 to the pot. You have a 1 in 1000 chance to win the entire pot with each ticket you buy.

When you leave the casino, all the money in your Pot is transferred to your personal account.

8 - Anvil
The Anvil's purpose is to combine enchantments from two items into one. It cannot combine two enchantments into a higher level (e.g., Power I + Power I = Power II). Each time you combine two items, it becomes more expensive. This price increase also applies to the regular anvil. With the Anvil, you have the power to create a bow with Multishot or with both Infinity and Mending.

9 - Money Furnace
It's exactly what it sounds like: a furnace that runs on money instead of fuel! Place your items in the designated slot and press the "coal" button when you're ready. Each item costs €2 to smelt.

10 - Shop

The Shop is your main way to spend money. When opened, it displays your money in the action bar. There are eight different shops:
  1. Player Heads: Get some useful Player Heads you can use for decorating your world.
  2. Spawn Eggs: Buy Spawn Eggs from all kinds of creatures. You can also buy Spawners here by sacrificing one kind of Spawn Egg. If you want to buy a sacrificed Spawn Egg, you have to sacrifice the Spawner.
  3. Information: Buy the ability to display interesting pieces of information in your Actionbar. When all kinds of information are bought, you are able to enable everything at once.
  4. Enchantments: Buy Enchanted Books with higher levels than possible to obtain in Vanilla Minecraft.
  5. Effects: Never use a beacon again when you can buy permanent effects in your Ender Chest. Once bought, you can disable them with the command: /trigger remove_effects.
  6. Special Items: Troll your friends with cool new items.
  7. Materials: If you accidentally sell a valuable item, you can buy replacements as well as some special material called Mythril here.
  8. Sounds: Ever wanted to troll your friends by playing the sound of lava? Buy it here, place it on a Note Block, and enjoy scaring the hell out of them!

Sell Items
Sell Items by clicking the Emerald Block with them.
You can sell every item. Thank you to https://minecraft-economy-price-guide.net for the price data. You can sell your whole inventory (except your hotbar) by pressing the shown key.

11 - Collections
The collections reward you for mining a large amount of Minecraft's nature blocks. But that's only the secondary function of the collections; the main function is to give you the ability to store your 10,000 mined blocks of Netherrack by providing you with storage options. These can be used after 10,000 blocks of this type have been mined. You can store an infinite amount of items without worrying about storage ever again. However, be careful; it doesn't store NBT data of the blocks. With Stone and Deepslate, it also stores the cobbled variant of these blocks.

12 - Bank
The Bank allows you to manage your money. You can store money in your bank to secure it from being lost upon death. You can also send money by selecting a consignee with an address (check out the Post for more information)

13 - Smithing Table

Despite its name, it actually has nothing to do with the normal Smithing Table. Here, you can select an item and edit its name. Are you ever bored of your default italic, white Destroyer of Souls? That belongs to the past— Destroyer of Souls is the new trend!

I wonder if Mythril does something here too?

Note:
Make sure you rename the item before editing it unless you want a nice blank name!

14 - Teleporter

The Teleporter has three main teleporting options:

  1. Highest Block: With this option, you can teleport to the highest block at your x and z position. With this tool, you can build hidden bases and other cool buildings.

  2. Home: Set your home with /trigger set_home. Whenever you're on an adventure far away from home, you can teleport back to your base.

  3. World Spawn: This option gives you the possibility to teleport back to the place where your journey once began.

There are also five empty slots for Teleport Points; the Server Operator can set these in the OP Settings.

15 - Trashcan
Get rid of an item by placing it here. Clear your entire inventory by pressing 9 while hovering over it.

16 - Settings
In your Settings, you can customize your Better Enderchest experience. Turn off annoying announcements, the action bar, or even the entire Better Enderchest. You can also set the Interaction Rate here. Rename an item to a power of ten (1, 10, 100, ..., 1,000,000,000) and place it in the bottom left slot to set the rate at which every number increases or decreases. You can still use a renamed item to change it temporarily.

OP Settings

As the Server Operator, use:
plaintext
/tag @s add ec_op

to gain operator rights. There are four types of Operator Settings.

Bossbar

Create a Custom Boss Bar

You can create a custom Boss Bar and modify its:
- Name
- Value
- Maximum Value
- Visibility
- And many more!

TP Points

You can add up to five different points in the world by typing:
/trigger tpp set [point number]

You can modify the point's name by using a renamed item and even change the icon by placing an item on the Ender Pearl.

Teams

Creating Custom Teams

You can create custom teams with:
- Custom Names
- Prefixes
- Suffixes
- Colors

Important Note: You can't edit the team in your Ender Chest; therefore, use Minecraft's default team command.

Layout
You can turn off any of the menus here. With the Shop and Levels, there is also the option to only turn off some parts of the menu.

17 - Levels
Here, you can see all the progress you have made with your Levels. You can turn off the XP Announcements in your Settings or by holding an item named Silent in your hand. By naming an item Silent, it receives the silent tag; you can even rename it again, and the tag will be retained. Store your Levels here as well by clicking on the empty bottle in the bottom left corner.

18 - Tic Tac Toe
Play Tic Tac Toe with a friend! There can only be one active game at a time. The game features automatic winner detection and will close itself a few seconds after win for all players.

19 - Market
Sell
Place your item on the gray glass. It will now show up in the upper right corner. Modify the sell price per item with the playerheads. You can also add more than one stack by clicking the glass with more items again, but be careful there is no way to get back the placed item after you entered an item the second time. Selling the item will cost you a small fee (Price * Count * 0.1).

Buy

Here you can see the items other players have sold. You have the discretion to purchase a single item or an entire stack at once. Swiftly navigate through the pages by pressing the corresponding number key. Should another player purchase an item you have sold, you will receive the funds upon opening your ender chest or rejoining the server.

20 - Statistic
Here, you can see some interesting stats from your game as well as the ability to display your playtime in the action bar!
