For everyone getting a NoSuchMethodError (in the serverlog) with the rentshops:
For development I always use the newest patch of bukkit/spigot/paper. It seems that some server providers use older versions (e.x. nitrado with my server). Most providers offer the option to upload a custom server version. You only need one of the versions below, if you want to use rentshops.

 

Paper: 1.16.5 Build 475 or newer, newest is 649 (https://papermc.io/downloads), you can find the build version in the serverlog on startup
Spigot: not working with the version on (https://getbukkit.org/download/spigot) from 17.01. , any version newer should work if released
Bukkit: not working with the version on (https://getbukkit.org/download/craftbukkit) from 17.01. , any version newer should work if released

 

I'm unable to create a patch, because there is no method to return the actual time since a world is generated, that is independent to the normal ingame time, which players can change (sleeping, commands etc) in older versions. And therefore ingametime and rentshops are not working.
