Supported Versions

  • CB 1.7.2-R0.2
  • Added snow accumulation in snow biomes. Snow can now stack several blocks high
  • Added glacier-like erosion - higher snow stacks mean more degradation into mostly gravel
  • Lots of logic bugs and math bugs fixed
  • Stop creating clay above sealevel
  • Fix waterfalls creating endless pillars of water, makes for much more clean and realistic waterfalls that don't spread to overly huge fans of water

I toyed around with making real glaciers out of ice, but Minecraft does not allow snow-on-top-of-ice, which defeats the whole concept of more snow generating more ice blocks and/or helping with erosion. Instead, I coded up the desired effects by making snow piles grind down stone to gravel faster, which then erodes slightly quicker down the hillsides, creating the "gravel" debris flows I was looking for.

The snow accumulation is likely a bit much for people, but I like the changing landscapes and this makes the landscapes a lot more dynamical, especially high up mountains above 100 height or so.

This plugin is only for people running the 1.7.2 bukkit server version. This version will not work with bukkit 1.6.x.

  • only loaded chunks are affected, areas where players are not present will not be changed
  • Only works with Towny 0.77, does not work with Towny 0.84.

This plugin will destroy structures made out of natural materials - erosion does not know what is natural and what is not.
