Today i am bringing you version 2 of my sand breaker addon. i know digging sand in minecraft is super boring you just get sand blocks and make glass and thats it. But what if breaking sand gave you OP loot? So I made this pack where breaking regular sand or soul sand gives you random items instead of just dropping the block. It makes desert biomes actually useful now because normally nobody goes to the desert unless they want a temple. Now you can literally farm sand to get rich. I even added soul sand to the script so if you are in the nether you can still play the system and get loot while exploring the soul valleys.

Let me explain the loot system a bit more. Common items are like 60 percent chance and give you basics like sticks and gravel. Uncommon is 25 percent and gives you iron and redstone. Rare is 10 percent for diamonds and ender pearls. Epic is 4 percent and gives netherite scraps and tridents. And Legendary is only 1 percent chance and this is where you get god apples, elytra and nether stars. The drop rates are balanced so its not too overpowered for your survival worlds. Oh and I also added a pity system. If your luck is really bad and you get 30 common or uncommon drops in a row, the next drop is guaranteed to be Rare or higher so you dont get frustrated by getting dirt all the time.

To check all this you just have to hold a normal book and sneak. It opens the main UI menu. Here you can see your total sand broken, your lucky streaks and a full leaderboard to compete with your friends on the server. I also put a drop history tab so you can prove to your friends that you actually got a legendary drop. I also tracked the lucky streak so if you get back to back rare drops the counter goes up and shows a star on the screen.

If you keep breaking sand you will also get custom breaker titles. You start as a Sand Noob, then Sand Toucher, Desert Walker, and if you break 25000 sand you become the SAND LORD. It feels really rewarding to see your rank go up. Every time you hit a big milestone like 100 or 1000 sand broken, the game gives you extra free rewards directly in your inventory like emeralds or netherite. I also coded a global event where sometimes randomly a Lucky Bonus event will trigger for the whole server. The action bar will tell everyone to break sand right now because legendary drops become much easier to get for a short time. This is super fun on multiplayer realms when everyone rushes to the nearest desert to dig.

Beta APIs Setup

You absolutely need to turn on Beta APIs in your world settings before playing. Because this pack uses custom blocks breaking scripts and dynamic properties to save your stats per player, if you dont enable the experiments nothing will work and sand will just drop normal sand block. So please make sure you check the experiments tab.
