World Protection
🛡️ Protect Your World!
Keep naturally generated terrain safe from player destruction!
World Protection prevents players from breaking blocks that were naturally generated in the world or placed by other tools, while still allowing them to freely break blocks they have placed themselves.
This makes it easy to preserve your world's original terrain while giving players complete freedom to build, expand, and modify their own creations.
⚙️ How It Works
- Naturally generated blocks are protected from being broken
- Player-placed blocks can still be broken normally
- Works with the block-change tracking provided by World Change Tracker
- Helps preserve natural terrain without restricting player building
🔧 Configurable Ignored Blocks
You can configure a list of block types that should not be protected. These blocks will always be breakable, even if they were naturally generated.
The ignored block list supports regular expressions (regex), allowing you to ignore a single block or an entire group of blocks with one entry.
For example:
Wood— ignoresWoodblock.*Wood.*— ignores any block containingWoodStone.*— ignores blocks starting withStone
đź’ˇ Not familiar with regex? Don't worry! For simple block names, you can usually just enter the block type you want to ignore. If your block name contains special characters such as ., *, +, ?, (, ), [, ], {, }, ^, $, or \, they may need to be escaped with a backslash (\) when you want them to be treated as normal characters.
đź”— Dependency
This mod requires World Change Tracker to track block changes and distinguish naturally generated blocks from blocks that have been placed by players.
This ensures that protection applies only to the original, naturally generated world and does not interfere with player-built structures.
🌍 Protect Your World
Whether you're running a survival, adventure, RPG, or community server, World Protection helps keep your world's natural terrain intact while still allowing players to freely build and modify their own creations.
