Beneath the surface of Hytale's world lies the Aether - a fundamental, quantifiable field that is the hidden architecture of reality. Its constituent particles, the Ethers, are the unseen physics of magic, waiting to be measured, cataloged, and mastered by those with the courage to look deeper.
Inspired by systems of arcane discovery, Thaumtale reimagines magic as a rigorous science for Hytale. It replaces grimoires with a researcher's journal, and incantations with experiments.
