A modular Skyblock-inspired resource and gemstone foundation for Hytale, providing core ores, hardstone, and progression-ready materials designed for community expansion and system-driven modding.

Description

Tech’s Skyblock Resource & Gemstone Core → Hytale

Custom Ore & Material Framework
(Oldschool & Remastered Variants | World Resources & Progression Backbone | Community Beta)
by TechNorris

Project Overview

This project is a foundational resource and material framework for Skyblock-style content in Hytale, porting classic ores, hardstone, and gemstone systems into clean, extensible building blocks designed for long-term modding and progression.

The project is now split into two parallel variants:

Both variants share the same structural intent and progression logic.
Only the visual language differs.

This is not a finished mining experience.
This is the substrate layer—the bedrock other mechanics grow from.

If Skyblock progression is a climb, this project defines the rock beneath your feet.

What’s Included

Core Ores (Oldschool & Remastered)

Skyblock-aligned resource ores, rebuilt for Hytale scale and structure, available in both visual styles:

Iron
Coal
Gold
Diamond
Emerald
Quartz

Each ore features:

Clean, readable geometry
Consistent scale and silhouette
Editable Blockbench structure
Room for tiering, variants, and biome-specific adaptations

These ores are intended to act as universal progression anchors, regardless of visual style.

Hardstone Layer

A dedicated Hardstone block designed to function as:

A progression gate
A structural mining layer
A visual and mechanical threshold

Hardstone bridges early resource gathering and advanced systems such as gemstones, deep mining, and late-game materials.

Both Oldschool and Remastered variants preserve the same mechanical role, with visual differences only.

Skyblock Gemstones

A full gemstone set inspired by Skyblock’s mining progression, available in both Oldschool and Remastered styles, including:

Amethyst
Ruby
Sapphire
Jade
Amber
Topaz

Each gemstone is treated as a material class, not a decorative block.

Geometry and structure support:

Tiered variants
Refined or cut forms
Socketing or enhancement systems
Region- or biome-specific mechanics

Gemstones function as progression multipliers, not simple drops.

Design Philosophy

Backbone over polish
Structure comes first. Surface detail can evolve later.

Style-split, system-shared
Oldschool and Remastered visuals diverge, but progression logic stays aligned.

Hytale-first scaling
Assets are tuned to feel native inside Hytale’s world and animation systems.

Modular extensibility
Nothing is locked into a single progression path or ruleset.

Community alignment
Shared resource foundations reduce fragmentation across mods and worlds.

What You’re Encouraged To Do

Build mining progression systems
Add gemstone tiers or refinements
Integrate resources into custom worlds or void maps
Create crafting, economy, or upgrade mechanics
Re-theme resources for factions or regions
Use this mod as a dependency or starting point
Expand hardstone into layered mining zones

This framework exists to be extended, not protected.

What This Is Not

Not a finished mining system
Not progression-balanced
Not feature-complete
Not locked to Skyblock rules
Not visually final

Drop rates, tools, stats, and mechanics are intentionally left open.

Work in Progress Status

This project is actively evolving.

Both Oldschool and Remastered variants will continue to receive:

Additional resources
New variants and tiers
Structural refinements

Current releases represent a stable backbone, not a finished surface.

Strong foundations prevent future systems from collapsing.

Long-Term Vision

This framework is intended to grow into:

A standard resource layer for Skyblock-style Hytale mods
A shared gemstone system usable across worlds and servers
A dependable dependency for mining-focused projects
A clear visual and structural reference for mod creators

Ores define effort.
Gemstones define mastery.
Hardstone defines the threshold between them.

Final Note

This mod is a foundation slab—now in two styles.

Choose Oldschool to preserve memory.
Choose Remastered to modernize form.
Or support both and let players decide.

When foundations are shared, ecosystems grow faster.

Much love.
