Taming animals and more in Hytale!

Now integrated into - HyTame


Animal Taming

Adds the ability to tame the animals of Hytale! (including skeleton horses)
This mod was built using as many of the vanilla pathways as possible, therefore it should be compatible with almost anything and all changes persist through world load/unload.

By default all livestock based animals that use the neutral template are automatically compatible, this includes skeleton horses and any mod added animals that also use this template!

It no longer plays the hearts animation until the animal is tamed, and smartly uses the asset system to detect if animals are harvestable or mountable for built in compatability.

 

Taming

To tame an animal, you must approach it with its favourited item, once it becomes friendly you will get a prompt to tame. After the process is done the animal will become tamed. (vanilla hytale has other systems in place that can spook the animal, approach with care)

Tamed animal behaviour should be much more responsive and fluid now

In order to mount or harvest any animal, you must now tame the animal first

 

Feeding

You can now feed tamed animals in order to heal them
There is an oddity where you have to scroll off of the item after feeding to be able to mount

 

Spawn Tracking

I have hopefully prevented the npcs from being despawned due to over population

 

Commands

Util commands such as listing favourited foods, you can use /TameableAnimals or /ta to list them

 

Config

You can edit which groups are tamable now through the config file in the mods folder or disable the chat notifications

 


Note: this mod is probably incompatible with any other mod that overwites the neutral template as i have made heavy edits.
