Description
IMPORTANT NOTE ON VERSIONS: To get around issues with NPC spawning in prefabs in the main release, this version of The Stormlands is designed to run on the latest pre-release. It should run on the main release, however no NPCs will spawn in the prefabs. If you are judging or voting in the community choice vote for the New Worlds Modding contest, I politely request that you play on the pre-release so you can see the mod as it is intended to be played.
Craft the Thunderstorm Cliffs Shard
High level materials will allow your gate to take you to the rocky pinnacles, erroded rivers, and marshy floodplains of The Stormlands, where you'll find breathtaking terrain guarded by terrifying foes. Steep precipices and rivers cutting valleys into the rocky terrain will provide new views of an abandoned land wreacked by thunderstorms.
Find Mithril Gear and More
The denizens of the Cliffs guard more powerful armor and weapons that can be found in Orbis. Adamantite equipment, the steel crossbow, and other high level gear is common here. Effecient exploration will allow you to find at least one or two pieces of Mithril gear in each shard, and frequent visits will allow you to hunt down rarer and more powerful weapons, including the legendery wraith's scythe.
Fight New Monsters
Bring your best armor and stay on guard, because fierce creatures lurk atop the towering pinnacles. Massive zombies, lightning golems, and more give you new foes to learn and plenty to tangle with on your way to recovering the region's long-lost treasures.
Exotic Materials
The Stormlands are also home to the materials rare and unknown materials. Flora not found on Orbis currently can be taken from here, including several rare types of tree. You also may be lucky enough to find the currently uncraftable Ancient Civilization furniture set, if you're willing to face what lies in the abandonded towers and hermitages across the landscape.
New Content
Stormlands is a mod focusing on small-scale incorporation of many existining blocks, entities, and weapons that are currently unobtainable in survival mode. This mod adds a late-game shard craftable with rare resources to add new options available once you've explored every existing zone and found somewhere to settle down.
