Skyblock Lifebound Portals

This mod lets you play Skyblock in Hytale using the portal system for progression. The world mod is no longer required: simply install this mod and use /slp generate to create your world and start playing. Choose a starting setup ranging from classic islands and caverns to Ocean Chamber and Lava Chamber, earn and spend Life Essence with agriculture 🌾 to unlock new portals, and invest in the Portal Upgrade Bench to improve random keys with longer expedition time and more focused destination control.

Beyond the core Skyblock loop, the mod also adds agriculture automation, connected full-block SLP Glass for builds, and random portal progression systems for a more flexible playstyle. A traditional Skyblock island start is not required to enjoy the mod's content.

🪟 Connected Glass

If you're here for the glass, SLP Glass is a connected full-block building block with border textures that visually connects to adjacent SLP Glass blocks. Craft it by smelting Rock Crystal Blocks in a Furnace. Recipes are available for blue, cyan, green, pink, purple, red, white, and yellow rock crystal blocks, giving you a clean material for windows, domes, greenhouses, and larger glass structures.

🎮 How It Plays

You begin in your chosen starter setup, whether that's a classic island, a cavern, or one of the new chamber starts. Craft the custom skyblock bench. Gather Life Essence 🌾, craft the portal device, unlock a portal, and explore the new instances behind those portals for resources. Each portal sends you to a temporary instance 🧭, and when time runs out or you die, you return to your home world. As your base grows, you can invest in automation tools and in the Portal Upgrade Bench to improve random keys, extend expedition time, and steer your runs toward the resources you want most. Repeat to expand your options and progression.

📥 Installation

Install the mod using either method below.

a) Automatic install via the CurseForge App

• Open the CurseForge App and use the install button for the mod. This will automatically place the file in the correct location and remove the previous version.

b) Manual install

• Download the mod .jar file.
• Copy the file into %AppData%\Hytale\UserData\Mods (PC).
• If you have older versions of the mod, remove them before installing the new one.

⚠️ First time setup:

• Launch Hytale.
• Click the "create world" button.
• Select "Exploration"
• Click the Gear icon button (settings) ⚙️
• Enable the "SkyblockLifeboundPortals" mod.
• Save your changes.
• Start playing
• Once in-game, use the command /slp generate to create your Skyblock world and teleport inside.

📝 Notes

• ⚠️ Early access release: expect bugs and breaking changes as Hytale updates.
• Additional portals and content will be added over time.
• Dropped items despawn after 5 minutes. 🧹
• Birds are also removed after 5 minutes. 🐦
• NPCs that fall below height 1 are removed; otherwise they remain indefinitely in the sky.
