Sky Block Harvest adds an Ex Nihilo–inspired progression system focused on sieving, farming, and resource processing to turn dirt, gravel, and sand into valuable materials in Skyblock gameplay.

🌱 Sky Block Harvest

Sky Block Harvest is an Ex Nihilo–inspired mod designed specifically for Skyblock and progressive survival gameplay, focused on sieving, farming, resource processing, and tier-based progression.

Instead of simply extracting ores from the world, players build their progression from dirt, gravel, sand, and plants, transforming simple materials into increasingly valuable resources.

The long-term idea is for Sky Block Harvest to evolve into a full modpack in the future (once modpack support is available).
For now, mods are downloaded separately — at the end of this page you will find:

  • Required mods (mandatory for Sky Block Harvest to work)

  • Optional mods (highly recommended and used in the official world)

⚠️ Mob progression is currently limited on purpose. controlled, instead of forcing vanilla-style mob farms.

🧺 Sieving (Core Mechanic)

At the heart of Sky Block Harvest is the Sieve system:

  • Sieved Dirt → seeds, plants, and basic resources

  • Sieved GravelOre Pieces

  • Sieved Sand → rare components, crystals, mushrooms, and special items

Each material has tiers (T0 to T5), increasing:

  • Drop quality

  • Chance of rare items

  • Access to advanced resources


🪨 Ore Piece System

Unlike vanilla gameplay:

  • Sieves do not drop ores directly

  • They drop Ore Pieces (Piece_Ore_*)

Examples:

  • Piece_Ore_Iron

  • Piece_Ore_Copper

  • Piece_Ore_Adamantite

These pieces can be:

  • Combined into Ore

  • Processed later into ingots

👉 This creates a slower, controlled, and Skyblock-friendly progression.


⚙️ Processing & Crafting

  • Crushed Ore represents fragmented, processable ore

  • Players must:

    1. Sieve materials

    2. Collect ore pieces

    3. Process them

    4. Refine them into usable resources

Everything is designed to avoid broken progression and preserve long-term challenge.


🌾 Farming & Plants (Major Focus)

Sky Block Harvest places heavy emphasis on farming systems:

  • Common, rare, and decorative flowers

  • Bushes, ferns, and special plants

  • Multiple mushroom types

  • Magical crops (mana, stamina, health)

Rare plants only appear at higher tiers with very low chances, encouraging:

  • Automation

  • Dedicated farms

  • Strategic planning


🛠️ Specialized Tools

The mod introduces unique tools such as:

  • Sieve Pickaxe / Hammer

    • Inefficient on normal blocks

    • Highly effective on sieved blocks

These tools are part of the progression and do not fully replace vanilla tools.


🧱 Benches & Progression

The mod uses benches for:

  • Crafting

  • Processing

  • Resource combination

Progression is designed for:

  • Skyblock worlds

  • Custom maps
