✨ What's New in v3.0.0?

 NEW SCORE SYSTEM TAB! AND DYNAMIC UI! :) and a lot of bug fixes!

Older versions: 

• 🖥️ Unified Navigation Bar: Stats, Quests, Perks, and Help are now connected via a top-tab system. Switch between them instantly without typing new commands.

• 📖 In-Game Help Guide: New "HELP" tab added! Explains leveling, the essence economy, and anti-exploit mechanics directly in-game.

• 🛡️ Anti-Exploit System: Added a 30-second cooldown for Magic gathering to prevent "drop-and-pick" quest cheese. And because you can also level magic with staffs and wands in combat. So it only seemed fair to nerf quests a bit.

• 
  🛡️ Anti-SPAM System: You can now turn off chat notifications in the skill panel via button.

• ⚖️ Smart Quest Logic: Quests now recognize all block variants (e.g., Copper in any stone type) and Woodcutting tracks _full trunks correctly. Not branches tho.. it would be too OP.

  AND - Now you can unlock new quests with leveling! So the system is rewarding and also i tried to match easier resources to lower leverls so the system does not send you to mine gold on level 1 for example.

  Also there is a lot of new and balanced quests.

• 🔮 Magic Fixes: Levels now trigger instantly upon picking up flowers, even at the XP cap. 

Previous Version: v2.5.0 - This version brings an economy update for the mod. Essences have been nerfed and also you need them for reseting stats or for rerolling quests. Also you can change everything about this new systems in vkcraft_config in your server/singleplayer world folder. And even disable it by putting the values to 0. Combat and Magic skills now give player way less essences.

VKCraft introduces a comprehensive RPG leveling system to Hytale. Earn experience through everyday activities, level up 5 unique skills, unlock better equipment, and customize your build with the Perk System.

✨ What's New in v2.2 and newer versions?

• 📢 Immersive Notifications: Goodbye Chat Spam! XP gains, quest progress, and Level Ups now appear as beautiful, modern pop-up notifications with unique icons for each skill.

• ⌨️ Slash Command Support: The mod now uses Hytale's native Command Manager. You can use standard commands like /vkstats, /vkquest, or /vkperks with auto-completion! or use /vkhelp!

• 🗺️ Advanced Quest Board: A complete UI overhaul. The Quest Menu is now a Tile Grid with color-coded cards. You can now track 5 active quests simultaneously (one for each skill)!

• ⚖️ Rebalancing:

  • Sound Mixing: Level Up and Perk sounds are now much quieter and less intrusive.

  • Farming: Nerfed "Lucky Drop" rates to prevent inventory clutter during massive harvests.

  • Quest Variety: Added dozens of new tasks for rare resources (Adamantite, Redwood, Bamboo, Chilli, etc.).

🧠 THE PERK SYSTEM

Leveling up allows you to define your playstyle. Every skill (Mining, Woodcutting, Farming, Combat, Magic) has its own Perk Tree. Just type /vkperks to open the menu!

• Your Choice: Unlock passive bonuses at level 5, 10, and 15.

• Stacking Mechanics: Perks reward rhythm (e.g., building "Chain" stacks by chopping trees continuously).

• Permanent & Independent: Perks stack on top of your standard level bonuses.

📊 Skills & Perks Overview

⛏️ Mining

Earn XP by mining ores and rocks.

• Rewards: Ingots, Pickaxes (Copper -> Onyxium).

• Key Perks:

  • Seismic Tap: Build stacks to trigger AOE effects.

  • Vein Sense: Gain temporary buffs to XP and Stamina after finding ore veins.

🪓 Woodcutting

Earn XP by chopping down trees.

• Rewards: Life Essence and Axes.

• Key Perks:

  • Timber Chain: Maintain a rhythm! Chopping logs builds a chain that rewards Stamina.

  • Sap Surge: Stack bonuses that prevent energy depletion.

🌾 Farming

Earn XP by harvesting crops.

• Rewards: Health Potions, Hoes, and Sickles.

• Key Perks:

  • Efficient Harvest: Reduces stamina usage and cooldowns.

  • Compost Mastery: Manage compost stacks to maximize your crop yield.

⚔️ Combat

Earn XP by dealing melee damage.

• Rewards: +Stamina and +Max HP scaling.

• Key Perks:

  • Strength: Configurable damage multipliers.

  • Athlete: Massive stamina boosts for sustained fighting.

🔮 Magic

Earn XP by using magic weapons OR gathering nature's essence (flowers).

• Rewards: Elemental Essences (Water, Ice, Void, Lightning) and Staves.

• Key Perks:

  • Life Siphon: Heal yourself based on magic damage dealt.

  • Arcane Archivist: Stack damage multipliers for huge burst potential.

🗺️ v2.2 Quest System

Type /vkquest to open the new Adventure Board!

• Multi-Track Questing: You are no longer limited to one quest. You can have an active quest for Mining, Woodcutting, Farming, Combat, AND Magic all at the same time.

• Visual Interface: Beautiful grid layout with color-coded headers for each skill.

• Smart Descriptions: Clean, readable objectives (e.g., "Collect 10x Iron Ore" instead of raw IDs).

• Expanded Pool: Tasks now include rare resources and exotic biomes.

💬 Commands

• /vkstats (or /vklevels) – Opens the Statistics Profile UI.

• /vkquest (or /vkquests) – Opens the new Adventure Board.

• /vkperks (or /vkperk) – Opens the Perk Selection menu.

• /vkcraft vkhelp – Displays mod information.

• /vkresetprogress – WARNING: Wipes your data. Useful for testing.

• /vkresetconfigs – Resets config & localization files (Admin Only).

• Language: /vken, /vkcz, /vkde, /vkes, /vkfr, /vkpo.

⚙️ Configuration & Security

The mod generates config/vkcraft_config.json.

• Smart Updater: The mod automatically detects missing fields (like new Quest Tasks) and injects them without deleting your old settings.

• Total Control: Server owners can rebalance XP curves, damage multipliers, stack limits, and drop rates.

• Security: Uses restrictDevCommands. You must whitelist specific users (Ops) to allow debug commands.

Admin Setup Example: Find vkcraft_config.json in your server's name location > TESTMOD/config/ folder. Add admin names (Case Sensitive) to commandOps:

📥 Installation

1. Download the .jar file.

2. Place it in the mods/ folder on your Hytale server.

3. Start the server.

4. Important: If upgrading from an older version, type /resetconfigs or delete the old config file to ensure new quests and values are loaded!
