Description

Red Crystal is a simple yet powerful system for interacting with and automating your world.
Using the Glyph Carver, you can inscribe glyphs onto any side of a block. Each glyph has unique properties, and by linking them together, you can create intricate and dynamic circuits.
Unlike traditional blocks, glyphs do not occupy space. Most can even be squeezed between two blocks, they also are not visible by default, allowing for compact and discret designs.
⚠️ This mod is currently in sill evolving! More glyphs are planned in the futur!
As of Version 0.0.8 this mod no longer require HyUI as a dependency.

Getting Started
Getting started is easy! You’ll only need:
- An Arcanist Workbench
- Some Red Crystal Shards
- A bit of Gold
Craft the Glyph Carver, and you're ready to go — it's the only tool you'll need to begin experimenting with glyphs and automation.
Glyph System Basics

To begin, hold the Glyph Carver in your hand and press the Ability 1 keybind (Q or A by default). This opens the glyph selection menu, where you can choose between three categories:
Runes — Inputs
Runes act as inputs. They gather information from the world and convert it into signals. This is where most systems begin.
Hex — Transmission & Logic
Hexes are used to transport and transform signals, allowing you to build more complex logic and connections.
Sigils — Outputs
Sigils take a signal and produce an effect in the world, such as opening doors, emitting light, moving blocks or triggering traps.

- Place a glyph →
Left Click(Primary Ability) on a block - Remove a glyph →
Right Click(Secondary Ability) - Link glyphs →
Left Clickan input/output, then connect it to another glyph - Remove a link →
Right Clickan existing connection - Edit a glyph →
Left Clickthe central glyph node to modify its properties
Rune Visibility
By default, runes are invisible and only become visible when powered by a signal.
You can change this behavior:
- Per rune → by editing an individual placed glyph
- Globally → via the Global Settings in the Carver Menu
This allows you to customize visibility for both aesthetics and debugging.
Modularity
Glyphs are defined with assets file, you can easily edit or add new runes with a custom asset pack. For creating new functionality, an api is planned !
