Overview

For my fellow DnD nerds that are addicted to leveling up, I bring you a simple multiclass RPG system. Mix and match between various archetypes, and gain active & passive abilities such as Sneak attack, Leap slam and Firestorm. Includes an attribute system that is wired in to increasing various player stats like health and damage with specific weapons.

Currently there are four classes available, each going up to level 5, which allows you to progress up to level 20 potentially. The mod also adds a few unique abilities to each class at various levels. For example:

Commands

  • /mcl - opens the Multiclass Leveling UI. If you have unspent level‑ups, it opens the level‑up page first. Due to some issues with modifying UI windows dynamically you may have to reuse it multiple times to open the adventurer profile after leveling up.
  • /mcl help - shows useful commands in chat
  • /mcl settings - shows player settings for stuff like crit&xp notifications
  • /mcl server-settings - shows a setting window to handle server-wide configuration of the mod. Relatively minimal at the moment, am open for suggestions on what to add there. Requires OP group.
  • /mcl info - opens the class compendium page that shows information on class features

Attributes

  • Strength: increases melee damage for most melee weapons, and increases block efficiency.
  • Agility: increases damage for daggers and bows, as well as movement speed.
  • Intelligence: Increases damage with staves, wands and books, as well as increasing ability damage and healing from the various abilities implemented by the mods, like Firestorm and Sneak Attack.
  • Focus: increases crit chance, as well as signature attack charge rate.
  • Vitality: increases max health.

Base crit damage is 150% of total damage, and it can be increased with a feat. I couldn't manage to get yellow colored damage text for crits. Work in progress..

One‑handed swords use the higher of Strength or Agility.

Known issues

Balance would probably be an issue, maybe you can combine this mod with a mod that makes the game more difficult. There's a few server settings you can play around with to try and mitigate this.

This mod was not made especially with PVP in mind, but since I get a lot of comments on it I'm trying to make it behave nicer in PVP. Maybe i'll add integration with a party mod if there's anything specific people are using.

Dynamic UI updates are hard to do and various other things I've tried failed. Also I have absolutely no idea if this mod will work on servers, since I have no friends to test it with. Back up your worlds and all that. Right now a limiting factor in what content I can add is the lack of a proper input / keybinding handling for mods.

I might keep updating the mod with new stuff when I figure out how to make more cool things work, but I'm satisfied with its current state for now. Thanks for the CurseForge dev discord for helping with questions! And thanks for people leaving feedback in the comments, much appreciated.
