Machine Blocks 1.3.9 — The Generator Incident

The G.N.O.M.E. engineering department has completed another controlled expansion of industrial power generation.

The previous design required a separate machine for every minor electrical inconvenience. This was deemed inefficient after an intern attempted to power a factory with three capacitors, a copper spoon, and a signed waiver. The spoon survived. The intern did not attend the follow-up meeting.

Wireless Generator Expansion

• Added the native expandable Wireless Generator multiblock.
• Added Generator Fuel Input Modules, Capacitors, Thermal Conversion Modules, Efficiency Modules, Cooling Units, Exhaust Ports, Wireless Transmitters, and Byproduct Recovery Modules.
• Added persistent energy storage, fuel reserves, coolant reserves, ash, module state, and operating state.
• Added live controller statistics for fuel slots, generation, consumption, efficiency, storage, cooling, range, receivers, recovery, and module counts.
• Added fuel-quality output scaling. Better fuel now produces better output instead of merely burning with greater confidence.
• Added permanent Wireless Power Couplers. They remain in place and are not consumed during ordinary operation.
• Added new generator models, textures, icons, dashboards, and invalid-state graphics.

The Generator Controller contributes coordination only. It stores no energy and performs no conversion. This prevented one early prototype from becoming a very expensive black cube with opinions.

Exhaust and Cooling

• Added Generator Exhaust Ports with randomized chimney smoke.
• Smoke now follows generator power state and stops when the generator is switched Off.
• Added optional Generator Cooling Units.
• Cooling adds efficiency while consuming filled water tankards during active generation.
• Empty tankards and Generator Ash can be routed through the Byproduct Recovery Module.

Several exhaust tests produced smoke in the accounting office. The incident has been classified as atmospheric documentation.

Factory Manager

• Added the POWER tab with combined generation, consumption, stored energy, capacity, and per-generator status.
• Added individual generator controls and wrapped information tooltips.
• Master Power locks are now isolated per Modern Storage network.
• Master Off temporarily disables controlled machines without changing their individual manual_enabled setting.
• Master On restores saved physical machine states.
• Improved rule enforcement after server startup, chunk loading, inventory changes, and machine restarts.
• Improved auto-ignition for HBU units, furnaces, planters, sieves, and factory machines.
• Added machine searching by configured output item names and IDs.
• Added factory input indicators for lane and slot behavior.

A previous master switch disabled machines belonging to unrelated networks. The responsible database column has been moved to a quieter location. Further questions are discouraged.

Factory Machines

• Multi-lane processing is now restricted to Factory Furnaces and Factory Crushers.
• Crushers use one fuel slot and six output slots, excluding upgrade slots.
• Corrected standard furnace and crusher slot layouts.
• Corrected the Factory Advanced Furnace identity and naming.
• Improved Factory Furnace and Factory Crusher readiness behavior.
• Machines may remain enabled while empty, out of fuel, or output-blocked without consuming fuel.
• Increased Carbonization Furnace smoke output.
• Corrected cobalt and thorium sieve materials.
• Improved processing visuals and machine state effects.

The three-slot Advanced Furnace was not an advanced feature. It was a filing error with a metal exterior.

Modern Storage Compatibility

• Improved compatibility with ModernStorage-1.0.30-U5.
• Added content-aware inventory revision handling when the newer public revision API is unavailable.
• Modern Storage inventory changes now invalidate Machine Blocks caches without relying on stale timed snapshots.
• Factory Manager and multiblock storage transfers share the same cache validation path.

The storage records are now checked under controlled synchronization. The database has not been asked how it feels.

Documentation and Tools

• Expanded Voile documentation for generators, cooling, exhausts, fuel scaling, Factory Manager POWER monitoring, automation, and Modern Storage integration.
• Corrected Voile heading hierarchy and verified table spacing.

No fatalities were officially recorded. The documentation has been revised again.

Use is approved. Results remain within acceptable limits. G.N.O.M.E. accepts limited responsibility.
