Control how hard everything hits with a simple damage multiplier and in-game GUI.

What It Does

This mod adds a global damage multiplier to your server. Whether you want to make combat more lethal, create a tank mode where players can barely scratch each other, or just fine-tune the difficulty for your community - you can do it all with a simple slider.

In vanilla Hytale, adjusting damage means editing individual weapon configs or messing with armor values. Want to run a special event where everyone hits harder? You'd have to modify dozens of files. This mod lets you change all damage with one setting that applies instantly to everything - weapons, magic, fall damage, environmental hazards, you name it.

How to Use

Open the configuration menu with any of these commands:

  • /increasedamage
  • /idmg
  • /damageconfig

Requires increasedamageandmore.admin permission or Op to use GUI if permissions enabled. Permissions are disabled by default.

Use the slider or type in your desired multiplier:

  • 2.0 = Double damage
  • 0.5 = Half damage
  • 10.0 = One-shot mayhem
  • 0.1 = Pillow fight mode

Changes save automatically and apply instantly to all players.

Technical Implementation

The mod intercepts Hytale's damage pipeline at the calculation phase, applying your multiplier before armor and resistances are calculated. This means it works seamlessly with all existing game mechanics - armor still protects, resistances still matter, but the base damage is scaled to your preference.

Works with:

  • Physical weapons (swords, axes, maces)
  • Projectiles (arrows, throwing weapons)
  • Magic and spells
  • Environmental damage (falling, drowning, fire, poison)
  • Monster attacks
  • PvP and PvE equally

Use Cases

Events & Challenges:

  • Run "glass cannon" events where everything dies in one hit
  • Create boss raids where players deal increased damage for epic battles
