Hytaria brings the world of Terraria into Hytale – reimagined in full 3D while staying true to the original feeling. This project aims to port core Terraria content into Hytale, including biomes, loot, tools, weapons, enemies, and progression systems.
Explore familiar environments inspired by Terraria, fight iconic enemies, gather powerful resources, and experience Terraria’s gameplay loop in a brand-new way.
Important! There is a Hytale issue which prevents the world from loading. Enter your world settings (right click) and enable "Skip Mod Validation" as a workaround (--skip-mod-validation start parameter for servers).

How to setup Hytaria?
The followig mod are required:
- LootExtender
- TerrariaAddons
- Hytalor
- MultipleHUD
The Hytale base world and the Terraria world are separate instances. Both can exist within the same save file, but they function independently from each other.
All Hytaria-specific content — including biomes, structures, and creatures — is exclusively generated in the custom Terraria world and will not appear in the default Hytale world.
You can enter the Terraria World (World Gen V2) by spawning a world instance named "Terraria". You can use your current save game or create a new save.
- /op self

- Open the creative menu (b key)
- Spawn->Instances->Hytaria->Terraria
After that you can warp between both worlds with commands.
- You can list all worlds with the command "world list"
- You can teleport between world with "tp world <worldName>"
- Your hytale world is may named "default"
Hytale’s default tools are not fully compatible with Terraria ores and certain custom blocks added by this mod. Because of this, progression may break or feel inconsistent when using standard Hytale worlds.
To ensure the intended Terraria-style progression and proper balance, it is strongly recommended to play this mod exclusively in a Terraria world.
This guarantees:
- Correct ore progression
- Proper tool scaling
- Intended biome and enemy balance
- Authentic Terraria gameplay experience
Crafting & Gear
Hytaria runs alongside the regular Hytale content. All vanilla Hytale items and systems still exist, but it’s recommended to focus on the Hytaria content for the full Terraria‑like experience.
To begin, you can craft the Hytaria Workbench, which gives you access to the first set of Terraria‑style items. From there, crafting an Iron Anvil at the Hytaria Workbench unlocks more advanced equipment.
The progression and crafting flow are designed to work exactly the same way as in Terraria — just recreated inside the Hytale framework.
- Basic gear such as Wooden equipment can be crafted at the Hytaria Workbench.
- More advanced items require an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil, just like in Terraria.
- Some armor pieces, weapons, and special items can only be obtained as loot from chests or creatures.
For detailed item progression, you can refer to the Terraria Wiki, since Hytaria follows the same logic.
Housing/NPCs
To allow NPCs to move into your house, you need the following:
- A Housing Block (can be pocket‑crafted)
- Place the Housing Block inside the room
- A fully enclosed building with at least one door
- One table, one chair, and a light source
If all requirements are met, NPCs will be able to settle in your home.
Boss Fights
Eye of Chutullu:
To summon the Eye of Cthulhu, you need the Suspicious Looking Eye.
How to craft it:

Find a Crimson Altar in the underground Crimson biome

Craft the Suspicious Looking Eye at the altar

Use the item on the ground to summon the boss

King Slime:
To summon King Slime, you need the Slime Crown.
How to craft it:

Collect 20× Gel from Slimes

Gather 5× Gold Ingots and 1× Ruby

Craft a Gold Crown, then upgrade it into a Slime Crown

Use the item on the ground to summon King Slime

This is a work in progress! World generation can change often. This mean you need to generate a new world or discover new chunks to get the latest world updates.
