HyShots - Cinematic Camera & Screenshot System

A Hytale mod that provides cinematic camera controls and world manipulation tools for taking perfect screenshots, in adventure mode!

Note: This mod is designed for simple screenshot and cinematic camera needs. It is not a replacement for Hytale's built-in Creative Machinima Tool, which offers more advanced features for video production and machinima creation.

Features

  • Freecam Mode - Detach your camera from the player and fly freely through the world
  • World Freeze - Pause time, NPCs, and world activity for the perfect shot
  • Easy to Use - Simple commands with helpful in-game guide

Commands

  • /hyshots help - Display all commands and tips
  • /hyshots enable - Enable freecam mode
  • /hyshots disable - Disable freecam mode
  • /hyshots freeze - Freeze world state
  • /hyshots unfreeze - Unfreeze world state

How to Use

  1. Run /hyshots enable to enter freecam mode
  2. Use WASD + mouse to move the camera freely
  3. Optional: Run /hyshots freeze to pause the world
  4. For clean screenshots: Go to Settings > General > Hide HUD
  5. Press F12 to take your screenshot
  6. Run /hyshots disable when done

Tips for Best Results

  • Use Settings > General > Hide HUD to remove all UI elements
  • Combine with /time set <value> to control time of day
  • Use /weather <type> to set the perfect weather
  • Freecam automatically disables when you exit the world

Installation

  1. Download the latest HyShots JAR file
  2. Launch Hytale and enjoy!

 

Requirements

  • Hytale (compatible with current version)
  • No additional dependencies required

Known Issues

  • Forgotten Temple: Freecam mode does not work in the Forgotten Temple
  • Wing Flapping: Flying creatures (birds, etc.) may still flap wings when frozen due to client-side rendering
