HyFishing

 

HyFishing adds a full fishing experience to Hytale, from your first cast to chasing server records. Craft your rod, cast into water, wait for a bite, and reel at the right moment to land fish. Fish are tied to where you fish, and catches can roll different sizes and weights to keep things exciting. 

What You Can Do

• Craft an Anglers bench at the Workbench
• Craft a Fishing Rod and Fish Bag in the Angler's Bench.
• Fish in open water with a tuned bobber and bite/reel timing.
• Catch fish based on where you are fishing (freshwater/saltwater areas).
• Catch fish you see nearby in water, or get a fish from local catch pools.
• Build personal bests and compete for global/server records.
• Use /hfleaders to view fishing leaderboards in-game.

Fish Bag and Catch Management

• Store catches in a dedicated Fish Bag so your inventory fills up less quickly.
• Bag space has been expanded for better day-to-day use.
• Built to keep fishing sessions smooth without constant inventory cleanup.

Releasing Fish

• You can release fish back into the world.
• Releasing now properly removes one fish from your stack each time.
• Fish released on land can be picked back up.
• Fish left stranded on land too long can turn into bone fragments.

Sounds and Feel

• Custom sounds for casting, reeling, and bites.
• Bobber behavior has been tuned to feel better on the surface and during fish pulls.
• Overall fishing feedback is clearer and more satisfying during gameplay.

Progress and Competition

• Tracks personal records and global records.
• Supports in-game record notifications and leaderboard viewing.
• Designed for both casual fishing and competitive “big catch” chasing.

How to Use

• Craft a Fishing Rod and Fish Bag at Workbench > Survival.
• Equip the rod and right-click water to cast.
• Wait for a bite, then right-click to reel in.
• Store fish in your Fish Bag.
• Run /hfleaders to check records and leaderboard standings.
