HyCarry is a quality-of-life mod that allows you to pick up, carry, and place container blocks (such as chests and other inventory-holding blocks) without losing their contents, in a safe and exploit-free way.

Perfect for base relocation, storage reorganization, and advanced building—while preserving vanilla balance and server safety.

✨ What Does HyCarry Do?

HyCarry lets you pick up and carry containers while keeping their entire inventory intact.

When you pick up a container:

• The block is converted into a special item in your hotbar.
• This item stores the block’s full BlockState, including:
  • Inventory contents
  • Internal block data
• When the item is placed again:
  • The game restores the stored BlockState
  • The container reappears exactly as it was

No items are lost. No data is duplicated.

🎮 How to Use

🖐️ Pickup

Action:

• Sneak (Shift) + right-click the container

Requirements:

• Empty hand (active slot must be empty)
• You must not already be carrying another container

📍 Place

• Place the “carried container” item like a normal block
• The container is fully restored with its inventory

🚫 Restrictions While Carrying a Container

To prevent exploits and unintended behavior, HyCarry enforces several protections:

• ❌ Cannot be stored in backpacks or other containers (anti-store)
• ❌ Cannot be dropped on the ground (anti-drop)
• 🔒 Active hotbar slot is locked (slot lock)
• 🚫 Certain right-click interactions are blocked
• 🐢 Movement speed penalty while carrying
• (If you hold or carry a chest or table in your inventory using carry, you will be penalized in speed).
  (no stacking or slowdown bugs)

🔐 Security & Anti-Duplication

HyCarry is built with inventory safety as a top priority:

• When a container is picked up:
  • Its inventory is prevented from dropping
  • No items fall on the ground
• All contents remain exclusively inside the carried item
• Designed to be safe against lag, exploits, and duplication bugs

Suitable for survival worlds, servers, and modpacks.

• Everything is handled through natural player actions:
  • Sneak + interaction
  • Placing the carried item
