Hy-Tales of Middle Earth is a work in progress mod that currently brings the 3rd age of Middle Earth from J.R.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson’s work into Hytale through new weapons, armour sets, and blocks, with plans to introduce factions and gameplay systems later in development.

The main goal of the project is to create an immersive Middle Earth within Hytale, featuring in-depth state mechanics, faction alignment, a conquest system, random encounters, and mechanics inspired by the Nemesis system seen in the Shadow of Mordor games.

Item showcase 

The mod currently includes content for Gondor, Mordor, and the Dwarves, along with a small selection of legendary items. Some items cannot be crafted and must instead be found within ruins, including Sting and the Shards of Narsil, which can be used to reforge Andúril.

Roadmap 

We are focused on bringing Gondor, Mordor, and the Dwarves up to a solid level of content before expanding into more factions. We may still add items from other factions, but they will not be a priority compared to these three. Gameplay mechanics and large world features are planned for the future, with the full world map intended to arrive alongside Hytale’s GENv2 update.
