📋 Overview

ExtraTooltips enhances your item experience by adding informative tooltips across the game. Every item now displays which mod it belongs to, so you always know the origin of what you're holding. It also adds dedicated tooltips to Swabs from MobFarmingTools, giving you detailed information right where you need it — no guessing required.

🔍 Tooltip List

This list grows as new integrations are added!

  • 🏷️ All Items - Displays the source mod name (Mod: ModName)
  • 📦 Capture Crates - Shows which mob is stored inside the crate
    • Some mobs added by other mods can be captured but don't update the crate's name — ExtraTooltips fixes that by reading the mob data directly and displaying it in the tooltip.
  • 🐾 MobFarmingTools Swabs - Shows detailed Swab information

🚀 Installation

  1. Download the latest version from the Files tab
  2. REQUIRED: Install DynamicTooltipsLib first
  3. Place ExtraTooltips-X.X.X.jar in your mods folder
  4. Start your server/game to generate the config file
  5. Edit armelin1_ExtraTooltips/config.json5 and restart to apply changes!

⚙️ Configuration

Configuration Options:

  • showVanillaModLabel - If false, hides the "Mod: Hytale" label on base game items (default: true)
  • showOnlyLastMod - If true, only shows the last mod label for items overridden by multiple mods. If false, all mod sources are listed (default: false)

🎮 How It Works

  1. You hover over any item in your inventory
  2. ExtraTooltips automatically appends a "Mod: ModName" label to the tooltip
  3. For MobFarmingTools Swabs, additional context-specific information is displayed
  4. Base Hytale items show "Mod: Hytale" — which can be hidden via config if you prefer a cleaner look

Example: Hovering over a Swab will now show relevant mob or farming data inline, without needing to open any external reference.
