Changelog v0.10 – Major Update

Major Rebranding

  • The mod has been renamed to Expanded Necromancy to clearly differentiate it from Hytale’s vanilla Necronomicon.

  • Purpose: avoid confusion and improve visibility on CurseForge and search results.


Core Necromancy System Updates

  • Expanded and reworked core necromancy mechanics, focusing on progression, clarity, and long-term scalability.

  • Summoning system changes:

    • Stamina is now used as a resource cost only (10 per summon), no longer a cooldown replacement.

    • Explicit cooldowns added for summons:

      • Skeleton Horse: 2 minutes

      • Flaming Skull: 2 minutes

      • Skeleton Warriors: 2 minutes

      • Skeleton Archers: 1 minute


New Combat & Equipment

  • Added Necromancer One-Handed Mace

    • Hybrid melee / ranged weapon

    • Special ability charges only through melee hits

    • Fully charged ability summons a Skeleton Ally for 1 minute

  • Added Necromancer Armor (cloth robe)

    • Grants mana to use the ranged attack of the mace


New Crafting & Materials

  • Added Necrocloth Scraps, dropped by Void enemies

  • Necrocloth Scraps can be crafted into:

    • Necrosinew

    • Bolt of Necrocloth

  • Necromancer Armor is crafted at the Blacksmith Anvil

  • Loom crafting enabled in the Workbench for Necrocloth

  • Added new crafting recipes for:

    • Normal Tombstone

    • New necromantic structures and ingredients at the Necromancer Workbench


New Necromantic Structure (WIP)

  • Added Profane Grave Guardian Block

    • Dark relic used to protect profane graves

    • Summons a Skeleton Guardian that stays near the tomb and defends it from enemies

    • Requires at least 3 blocks of empty space from any other block to function

    • If killed, the guardian respawns after 1 minute

    • Guardian remains active while the block exists; removing the block causes it to disappear

    • Breaking the block drops a normal Tombstone

    • Crafted at the Necromancer Workbench

    • Marked as Work in Progress


Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed multiple bugs and inconsistencies across the mod

  • Fixed water texture issues

  • General stability, balance, and behavior improvements for all necromantic entities
