Hytale's first ever ModJam had just concluded on 3rd February, 2026. Participants were given a 4-day period to create their best projects, based on the given theme "Echoes of the Machine". So what's a better way of adding echoes and machines than adding some crazy, overpowered Echo Gadgets/Equipment to Hytale? This is what this mod brings to the game.

EckoEquip aims to add fun and interesting mechanics that will both assist in your Adventure Mode gameplay and also be incredibly fun to play around with in Creative Mode. All items/tools/gear are designed based on the provided theme "Echoes of the Machine".

Features

• Echo Crystal Shards - Custom ingredient used to craft Ecko Equipment in the Arcanist's Workbench.
• Echo Shard Detector - Metal Detector Device which acquires Echo Shards by sending vibrations through ores. (10% Chance of dropping an Echo Shard)
• Ecko Boomerang - Similar to an Echo, it will always come back, sending out Echo Vibrations with every collision.
• Ecko Blade - A laser sharp sword, so sharp it can cut through the sound barrier, sending out Echo Vibrations with each attack.
• Ecko Blaster 9000 - A super sonicly, echo charged cannon which fires hyper-charged Echo Vibrations which combust into intense vibration energy upon impact.

Echo Gadgets

Echo Shard Detector Device

Basically the starter item, without it you are unable to craft any of the more advanced gadgets. On use, it sends out powerful Echo Shockwaves which vibrate through ores forming Echo Shards from their crystals.

Primary: Sends out a powerful Echo Shockwave with a 10% chance of obtaining an Echo Shard from ores.
Secondary: Sends out a powerful Echo Shockwave with a 10% chance of obtaining an Echo Shard from ores.
Extra: Has 82 Max Durability and durability is lost on every failed attempt of obtaining an Echo Shard.

Crafting Recipe:
                            - 6 Iron Ingots
                            - 2 Linen Scraps
Requires Tier 3 Default Workbench

Ecko Boomerang

Just like an echo, it always come back. When this boomerang collides with a solid surface, it sends Echo Vibrations in every direction. Deals 22 damage on impact.

Primary: Boomerang is thrown, dealing 22 damage on impact.
Secondary: Defend.
Max Durability: 240

Crafting Recipe:
                            - 6 Iron Ingots
                            - 7 Echo Shards
                            - 3 Heavy Leather
Requires Tier 2 Blacksmith's Anvil

Ecko Blade

It's a sword so sharp, it cuts through the sound barrier and releases a mini echo shockwave which on impact, sends Echo Vibrations through an entities skull, dealing 29 damage on impact.

Primary: Sword Attack which also shoots out an echo projectile, dealing 29 damage.
Secondary: Defend.
Max Durability: 220
Extra: Projectile may also destroy blocks, allowing for ranged block destruction.

Crafting Recipe:
                            - 2 Mithril Ingot
                            - 9 Echo Shards
                            - 1 Void Heart
Requires Tier 3 Blacksmith's Anvil

Ecko Blaster 9000

Super Sonic Echo Cannon which, after charged up, releases a Super Sonic Echo, which is highly unstable and will combust with mass amounts of energy, sending the target flying.

Primary: Charges up the Ecko Blaster with intense, unstable Ecko Energy, dealing 23 damage on impact.
Secondary: Gun Melee.
Extra: Friendly Fire, may also damage the user if not careful.

                            - 2 Iron Ingot
                            - 9 Echo Shards
                            - 1 Void Heart
Requires Tier 3 Blacksmith's Anvil
