Tired of hunting specific mobs to get the drops you need? Digital Drops introduces a tech-themed alternative farming system that lets you capture echoes from any NPC and convert them into the resources you're after.

 

1. Craft an Empty Echo Drive
  • Requires: 4 Batteries, 2 Copper Bars, 1 Silver Bar
  • Craft at a Workbench
2. Capture NPC Echoes
  • Hold the Echo Drive in your offhand
  • Kill any NPCs while holding it
  • The drive charges up to 10/10 with each kill
3. Extract Generalized Echoes
  • Build the Echo Fabrication Terminal (processing bench)
  • Fuel it with Batteries
  • Process charged Echo Drives to extract Generalized Echoes
  • Your Echo Drive is returned empty and ready to use again!
4. Synthesize Specific Echo Types
  • Build the Echo Synthesizer (crafting bench)
  • Combine 5 Generalized Echoes + 1 specific essence/drop to create 5 typed echoes
  • Six echo categories: Water, Avian, Beast, Undead, Critter, and Hostile
5. Trade with the RAM Reaper
  • Find the Ancient Gateway and use a Fragment of the Inner Workings to open a portal
  • Enter "The Inner Workings" dimension
  • Trade your synthesized echoes with the RAM Reaper for mob drops!

What You Can Get

Each echo type can be traded for different mob resources:
Water Echoes → Fish (Bluegill, Salmon, Rainbow Trout), Water Essence
Avian Echoes → Feathers (Light/Blue/Dark), Raw Wildmeat
Beast Echoes → Raw Meat (Wildmeat, Pork), Hides (Light/Medium/Heavy), Wool Scraps
Undead Echoes → Bone Fragments, Fabric Scraps (Cindercloth, Linen), Fire/Ice Essence
Critter Echoes → Venom Sacs, Sturdy Chitin, Life Essence
Hostile Echoes → Boom Powder, Shadoweave Scraps, Void Essence, Voidhearts
Generalized Echoes → Batteries, Special Machinerock blocks

Key Items & Blocks

Battery - Essential power source crafted from Copper + Iron Bars (yields 12). Used as fuel for the Echo Fabrication Terminal and in crafting the benches.
Echo Fabrication Terminal - A processing bench that extracts Generalized Echoes from charged drives. Features glowing effects and custom sounds when processing.
Echo Synthesizer - A crafting bench with 6 specialized categories for creating different echo types.
Fragment of the Inner Workings - Portal key to access The Inner Workings dimension (crafted with 5 Iron Bars + 20 Generalized Echoes at an Arcane Bench).
