Description

This mod aims to add more horizontal gameplay progression to the game by tweaking the stats of thorium, cobalt, and adamantite armor/weapons/tools. 

If I’ve done a good enough job at balancing these three item types, you can expect players to be using more than just adamantite gear during the late-game. Adamantine still provides the best consistent, basic damage, but now cobalt and thorium each offer stats that benefit damage burst and tanky playstyles.

That being said, if you notice a build is broken/overpowered, let me know and I'll update it. Player feedback is always and forever appreciated.

 

What this pack specifically changes:

  • Unless otherwise stated, most stats for sets of thorium, cobalt, and adamantite equipment have been equated. For example, adamantite swords have the same amount of durability as thorium swords but can also be crafted in a tier 2 blacksmith’s anvil.
  • Adamantite armor pieces, in addition to increasing basic attack damage, will also grant a degree of fire resistance.
  • Cobalt armor pieces now grant bonus stamina and greatly increased projectile resistance. Their bonus damage from signature hits has been removed.
  • Thorium armor, in addition to granting poison resistance, now grants the most bonus health out of the armor sets.
  • Adamantite weapons still deal higher basic attack damage than thorium and cobalt weapons; however, cobalt weapons deal the most damage with charged attacks and thorium weapons have the most powerful signature hits (ultimates).
  • Adamantite ore can now be mined with iron-grade pickaxes or higher.
